I feel that the higher models are just a luxury and you don't really need it. Keep it simple. It is comfortably fast in operation. Just check out channel subscription prices before buying. The roku channels seem a bit pricey to me.

One of the sticks was defective but Best Buy was very helpful in solving the problem.

Easy to install & use

I have a Roku 2 on my main TV and the Roku stick on a 2nd TV that is a 'smart'tv. I should not fave bought the 'smart'tv as using the Roku stick adds more channels while the 'smart' function is limited to just 3. Live and learn.

We had an issue with the remote shortly after we purchased, but it was resolved (new remote) by customer service at Roku. I will say, however, that their telephone support after a specific # of days is a bit on the ridiculous side ($$ per minute)...

Different models with same name

Thinking it will work with MHL port of TV directly . Turns out it is a different model. This model is never listed on roku website. This is quite slow too.
