Love the Roku! It allows for adding or deleting apps for the TV with choices of ethernet, and wifi connections, and different models can connect to various ages of TV's. It can basically make any TV into a Smart TV without the added cost, and makes a Smart TV smarter ('cuz they aren't really that smart!).

This is the second ROKU I have purchased. Great if your location TV stations is streaming. Otherwise have to wait a couple of days to watch current programs. But still pass programs are great to watch and if you purchase something like CBS ALL ACCESS you can watch real old programs that are not on the air.

The roku player works but after several button pushes it often freezes on a screen. I then have to pop open the remote's battery case, remove and reinstall a battery. This brings it back to responding to the remote.

I love the stick and that it is hidden behind our tv. The first Roku we bought was the little box one, and the cord was short so it was hard to maneuver in shelving unit. The stick just plugs right in tv. Discreet hiding. We now have a Roku stick in every room we have a tv. We dumped cable. Roku is a great device!!!

Works as well as expected...the buttons on the remote are natural and easy to use in the dark. I have only one complaint and deals with my particular tv as well and that's the stick protrudes too much that I am not able to use my other hdmi slot while the stick is in place.

I got the Roku because I wanted to eliminate cable. I'm not a gamer, so I thought the streaming stick would work for me. The device is great; easy to set up and navigate. I love the fact that the remote works without needed to be in direct contact with the unit. The only drawback to the Roku is the channel lineup is a bit deceiving. Some channels, such as ESPN, Lifetime, A&E, are only accessible by registering through your cable subscriber. The reason I got the device was because I ditched cable.

this is the best roku product as long as you have an available usb port on the boobtube. most of them do these days but i have a couple of old lcd's that do not. one nice aspect is that it powers itself off the usb port so no need for a plug. but it does come with one, and an rca jack, just in case.

pros. small and compact (both remote and usb) ease of use looks appealing great addition to non in app tv's cons. take awhile to setup buffering times differ from time to time

I have 2 of these sticks. One works all of the time so far, the other one only works half the time. The stick won't stay synced with the Roku remote. I returned one and got another and still have the same problem.

Part of my problem is that I have had a Roku 3 for a while now and its menus respond faster. It's also hardwired into the internet via Ethernet. The Roku Stick doesn't have that option and it suffers for it. I put it in my upstairs workout room and while my laptop and iPad get a good signal, the Roku Stick takes a long time searching for programs, loading menus and streaming content. When it finally does stream, the picture quality is terrible. I also have issues with it dropping the house WiFi and needing to manually reconnect. Something that streams HD video should have a much, much stronger antenna.

I like this product. I would recommend this item. I would recommend this product to any to be able to stream if they have a tv that is not a smart tv. The price is very affordable. It was very easy to installl & get up and running without any help other than the instructions that came with the product.

Generally a great little device. It plugs directly into the HDMI port on any HDMI capable TV and power can be supplied from the TV's USB port (if TV is so equipped). It was easy to set up and works reliably. It goes about it's job of turning dumb TV's into smart TV's by providing seamless online access to a wide variety of entertainment channels and sources in a quite non-intrusive way. My only complaint is I've found the remote a bit confusing, there seems to be 2 "back" buttons and it's not always clear which one should be used in which case. A keyboard on the remote would also be a nice touch for future upgrades.

We use this for a spare TV, works very well and has a small compact remote. we have not had any issues and was easy to set up and start using.

This did not work at first and ROKU tech support was polite but quite useless...so after 2 days of frustrating tech support calls I decided to try the unit on a TV much closer to my wireless router and it connected and set up quickly and works well...so if you have a strong WIFI signal you should be fine

We recently cut the cord and needed TV viewing options. Based on online reviews, Roku was the clear winner. We went with the streaming stick because of cost and portability. So far is has been good, but not truly excellent. Sometimes the buffering is a little slow if everyone is home and has their wifi devices turned on. There are probably some better things we can do to position the router for increased coverage, but we haven't quite dialed that in yet. Overall an excellent value and a great idea if you have a room without access to a LAN port or you want something to travel with.

Easy to install and use. New channels added regularly. Easy to integrate password protected information from cable provider or apps. Great value for the cost.

I have a Roku and I really like it, so I bought one for my parents. It was easy to teach my father how to use it, and he loves it. I think that he used it for hours, looking through all of the apps and watching all of the news stories.

Bought this for a TV in an area of the house without cable access. We have an Apple TV so we're used to the streaming life. Impressed with the ease of setup and operation. I know we'll never use the maximum potential of this device but that's ok. Have all of our favorite "channels" ready to go.

The streaming is pretty good. Doesn't freeze or skip. The remote loses connection a lot which is a little annoying. Overall it's a decent product for the price.

I have no problem with my Roku stick. I use the Roku box in my entertainment room and the stick in my guest room. For all intents and purposes, it works find. You can view Netflix, Hulu, play games, etc. I wish Roku would have made headphone usage on the stick like they did on the box. I found that feature to be useful when viewing movies at night and trying to keep from waking up the whole house. Other than that shortfall, I've experienced no issues with the stick. Keep in mind that for limited usage, such as placement in a guest room, it serves the purpose fine. If I were to purchase Roku in a higher-traffic area of the house, I would go for the Roku streaming box instead of the stick.
