I debated between Chromecast and Roku. I selected Roku since I liked it's options a little better. When I went to Best Buy to pickup my online order they told me the price dropped.i ended up pay less for Roku then Chromecast. The stick functions great; the only reason I can't give 5stars is that the remote doesn't always work. I put new batteries in it but have to continually mess with it for it to work. You can use your phones but then you tie up your phone. I love the search feature. Lots of free apps and choices. Overall it lives up to the reviews.

I got this device because I wanted to be able to utilize my Amazon Prime account, which the Google Stick does not offer. So I am extremely pleased with what I have purchased. Love the fact that my TV can power the device. No additional cables needed. Hooray!

I already have 2 chromecasts and went to bestbuy to buy the 3rd fortunately I bought this instead. For 15 bucks difference this is a no brainer. Really love this and their customer service is excellent. The cable got loose so I called them and they sent me a replacement with no hassle.

I purchased this to reduce my cable TV bill. Got rid of all the premium movie channels and use Roku to watch movies. Also discovered binge viewing of series I have missed watching over the past few years. Wifi connection works very well, only had to reconnect 4-5 times in the last 6 weeks.

We have had the older rokus. We enjoy the stick. The remote seems to be picked up better than the older rokus. We also like the new interface for Netflix and Amazon available on this model.

The Roku device I bought is well worth the money I spent on it. It allows me to watch streaming services on any TV (as long as there is a wireless internet connection), including in hotels. The best part is that you don't have to be a "techie" to understand how it works. It's that easy.

Unnecessary if you have a smart T.V., but if you don't it is a great thing to have. You can watch Netflix or listen to Pandora or download any of the many apps they have. I have one for my kids room and my room. You can set up the netflix to the kids shows only, so that is a great feature.

I love all of my Roku devices and this model does not disappoint. Very small and convenient to use when traveling or if space is limited.

Had a Roku3 prior to purchasing and wanted another streaming device with similar capabilities, but cheaper, to use in a different room. Understandably a bit slower user interface vs the box, otherwise, there's no significant difference that I've noticed.

roku remote is a great product. Large numbers are a plus. Ease of use is fantastic. Can't see other like products functioning as well. Would recommend this product to all streaming users.

The Roku is user friendly and offers many streaming options. I would recommend this to everyone. The price was very reasonable especially if you wait for a sale. You can stream things like HBO GO, Netflix, and many more things that might interest you . I am very happy with my purchase.

Bought this to get netflix on my bedroom tv. It works great plus has several more apps that are great. Had a little trouble setting it up, but i am not great at things of this sort. so if i can do it anybody can. Good buyand works what more can you ask.

I have the Roku 3 as well, and I like this better. The remote has 4 fast buttons for amazon and netflix... The only negative is that it still needs power (1 TV has a USB that will power it and 1 doesn't) otherwise it has the same options at a lower price

This gadget lets you stream music and videos right from your TV without having to use another type of device such as a laptop or iPad, etc.We brought if for grandma and she's loving it. She mainly accesses YouTube to watch videos and listen to music.

The Roku stick is easy to install and we now have access to all the great channels. The remote is convenient, but still learning how to use it to navigate. Overall very happy with purchase.

The videos plays awesome on the device but the remote disconnects randomly. The only way to fix it is to remove the battery and place it back in.

My husband and i bought two of these. One for the boys' room and one for the girls' room. It is a great alternative to paying for the extra cable boxes. Our kids only want to watch Netflix or hulu anyways because they love not having to watch so many commercials. We have four older children ranging in age from 4-10 that can navigate the product with little difficulty. The only bummer is the slow start up upon the initial start up/turning it on. Sometimes my 4 year old gets impatient. Would totally recommend this to anybody!

Slim, easy to navigate. I bought this for my mother for Christmas. I was considering a Chromecast instead but then read it was controlled through apps on your phone & there was no physical remote. That would not have worked for her. She already has one roku and loves it's setup.

I have a Roku 2 and needed another one for our new TV. Since the streaming stick was only $49 I thought I'd try it. It works great and exactly as well as our other Roku. With the Roku channel store you have access to hundreds of apps/channels and this has allowed us to be free of cable/satellite for 2 years now. We supplement the things we get over our Rokus (Netflix, Amazon Instant, etc) with an over-the-air antenna so we get free local network stations. Other than the big popular services mentioned above, there are so many cool offbeat apps/channels for pretty much any specific interest you might have. I definitely recommend a Roku to anyone.

The roku stick has been great for what I wanted. I wanted a streaming stick that could access my Plex server, the TWC app, and Amazon. This one handles it all. The boot time is my one complaint, which if I just plugged it in as opposed to using the TV's usb then I wouldn't have to wait.
