Even if you're not a constant traveler, this Roku stick is a great option for connecting your portable devices to HDMI monitors (ie. TV). It lets users stream content onto the big screen seamlessly.

Not Best Buy's fault, but it seems this device is a bit over priced when there are other options out there for $10-$20 cheaper. I purchased because my new Best Buy branded TV set had a port that was designed for this device, but otherwise I would have shopped around because of the price. Streaming stick and remote works just fine, no complaints at all. Would have been given 5 stars if it had been about $10 cheaper.

Works well for use with Hulu and Netflix. Turned my dumb TV smart for $40 bucks; not a bad deal. Gave it only 4 stars because if you have an issue contacting Roku support is the pits, you can only call them within 90 days of service after that its online support. I wish someone had told me that prior to purchase.

I bought roku after disconnecting my cable. It was my understanding that if offered channels and or movies. I was very disappointed to find out that without an existing subscription to many of these channels such as HBO Go or Netflix, Hulu, Showtime etc you couldn't access much. You get like 5 channels with roku. I didn't need roku for Netflix I could of watched it on my own. Just like hulu plus etc

This device was easy to set up and easy to use. Plugs right into an HDMI outlet on your TV.

The number of options for "stations" is excellent. Setup was easy. The remote buttons are not very clear at times regarding which button to use for which function.

I love this new Roku stick. I have a Roku 2 and I can't see that there is a difference in functioning and this one is less expensive! The one draw back is that it still requires being plugged in to the wall for power rather than being able to power from the stick to the TV.

I purchased this device about 2 months ago. Many times when I try to navigate, the remote seems to become unresponsive and then all of sudden the cursor (selection box) moves without pressing any buttons (likely due to the attempts made while it was unresponsive). I know this condition is not due to internet speed because once we start a program it never has to wait for buffering. Very frustrating indeed!!

We absolutely love our ROKU and what a great price we got on it! Best Buy online was cheaper than in the store, but a quick look up at the store and Best Buy matched the price! Thank you!

I've used other streaming devices before and none had the stability and feature set of this Roku. At only $50 it's a steal and we'll worth the price!

And it's 40 bucks cheaper than the Roku 3! Has the same functionality as its predecessors, so it's a no brainier to purchase this one-unless your wifi isn't near by; then I reccomend the Roku 3.

I bought the stick with great hopes that it would pave the way toward cable freedom. Didn't work out. The device needs power from one of two sources -- a normal outket plug-in was impossible without exposing an ugly power cord like I had paid to hide via a wall bracket with hidden wires. That left USB power. Two questions were unanswered -- does my huge 5-year old Samsung have powered USB ports and, if so, is a particular level of power required. I kept getting a display message "NEW DEVICE NOT FOUND, USB2 POWER OVERLOAD". Just to test the stick, I plugged it into an extension cord and did get results. Except that the instructions are lost at this point. Setting up the stick was a pain, primarily because the remote control is so slow and unresponsive to the touch of the buttons. Further, I was never quite sure what was free and what wasn't. I don't sign up for free trials unless there is a positive 'opt-in' at the end, rather than the necessity of cancelling. I could go on, but you get the idea. Not a happy camper. I believe the devices may work OK, but one needs the patience of Job and doesn't mind buying a pig in a poke. Neither of those describe me.

The Roku was very easy to set up and start using. We have a Netflix account and this works great on this device. It also offers Hulu and Amazon's services. The additional Free Apps tend to have more "clips" than full shows, but I have not tried all of them. There are several apps available. Overall, this is definitely worth the money. Probably would have bought the Roku 2 if I'd known about the headphone option.

I bought this to allow for mirroring with my windows 8 laptop and it works really fast.

Alas we have found freedom every one can see their own favorite show without getting interfered also the best part is you could connect wirelessly to the internet my entire family is very happy

Setup was quick and easy with step by step instructions. Quick and informative tutorial for use. Great value for the price.

Costs a little more than Chromecast but the contents available definitely make up for it. Setup is fairly straightforward. If you don't need the games on the Roku 3 then I suggest getting this one.

Dissapointing that Amazon Music is not integrated, but that may be more intentional on Amazons end. The version 1 Rokus were not that great but version 2 is much faster.

I bought the Roku Streaming Stick as a gift, and it is a great way to play streaming video without using a traditional computer. The small form factor and ease of use makes it easy to use on most modern TVs, so long as wi-fi is available. It does require a set-up process and a Roku account creation through their website, so keep that in mind. Other than that, linking to Netflix/Hulu is straightforward, and quality/streaming is good.
