It works good if close to the router or modem. I have been using it with my HD tv and its had great streaming so far.

We shopped around for something like this. We already had an Apple TV, but wanted something for our kid's room. This worked perfectly. We were able to get all the channels she wanted and more.

I purchased this Roku Stick for use on a television in our exercise room. It serves its purpose well, but I can say that I would be very frustrated with it if I had to deal with the device on a more full-time basis. We have a Roku 3 attached to our living room TV even though our TV in the living room is a Smart TV. The interface between both devices is the same, but the Roku Stick is far more sluggish and slow to respond. My chief complaint, however, is that the remote for the Roku Stick just fails to connect half of the time. I can turn on the TV and select something to watch from the Roku Stick, but after letting the TV play something for an hour or two, the remote becomes totally unresponsive and I have to remove/replace one of the batteries to get it to work again. If you're buying this device for a limited use TV, this device will work fine. Particularly if you value the fact that the stick can be powered from the TV itself thereby eliminating yet ANOTHER power cord. But if you plan on using this device every day, save yourself a little frustration and just buy a Roku 3 - you'll be glad you did!

If your TV doesn't have the smart TV function, you can easily add it into your TV by attaching this Roku. And according to the current promotion, you can get free trial of Netflix for 1 month.

Bought this so that I could access Pandora which my satellite provider did not include in the package. Had extensive problems trying to synchronize the device so returned it. Found other ways to access Pandora without needing The Roku stick. It could be the age of my television however other friends have used a Roku device with TVs of equal age. For that reason I am recommending it.

I had a Roku that broke and this was my replacement. The remote did not function properly and I returned it. I really enjoyed the first Roku that I had for about a year and if the manufacturer had replaced the device, I would have continued to use it. The remote on the second device did not work as well as the first one.

My only difficulty was sound because I use a separate system from my TV. However, the customer service (phone) was readily available and got me up and running.

I added this to a new TV upstairs in my exercise room to watch workout posts from you tube or watch Netflix while working out, works perfectly for this. Does the trick,

We bought this as a gift for my in laws because they had to give their cable up to do pricing and this was a way that they could still see some of the shows that they enjoyed on cable.

I'll never go back to cable. This device has saved me hundreds of dollars for this year. I have saved over $2400 because I do not have cable anymore and I only pay for Internet services.

Added this to my Chromecast . love both but this has Amazon Prime channel which Chromecast doesn't have. I use both and enjoy how easy each is to each of them.

Bought this for my daughter & her family. They love it! I've had a Roku 2XD for 3 years now & the channel/programming selection just keeps getting better. Roku is a great entertainment value!

My guy had a blue ray player that was a year old and the technology was slowing down our streaming service for Netflix. I wanted a gadget that offered more channels. Roku is the answer!

It works they way it supposed to my only issue is I keep having to update my connection

Researched various streaming devices, and finally pulled the trigger when I saw the Roku streaming stick on sale for $39.99. I figured I couldn't go too far wrong at such a thrifty entry point. And it's so easy to use! Liked the product so much that within a couple days of purchase I returned to Best Buy for two more for other TVs around the house. Found out I can even just plug it into my LED projector. GREAT alternative to cable!

Needed to get a short HDMI cable to allow connection. This was too long to fit into my TV's HDMI port. No big deal, but something to consider if your HDMI ports are blocked by the TV's case.

I love this!!! It is easy to get to Netflix and Amazon prime. I have one in my home and love it so much I bought my in laws one. I have even suggested it to other family members and friends.

Since receiving my first Roku Streaming Stick as a Christmas gift, I purchased another one for another room. Watch more tv on the roku than on regular programming. Would highly recommend!

setup was easy, had trouble getting it to fit in one of the hdmi slots on my tv because of the design of the tv. other than that it has been enjoyable to use.
