Bought this as a gift. It doesn't require purchasing a separate HDMI cable since it connects directly to any open HDMI port. Great upgrade to non-smart tvs.

I first purchased a Cromecast and it crashed within 15 min. and would not reset so I returned it and got the Roku its great and has far more apps than the other brand. i'v been using it for several weeks now and no problems.

This is my 2nd roku works great streams amazing. Very portable. You can take it to hotels and steam netflix

This is the second ROKU device. It is synchronized with the main unit in the living room. The new ROKU channel is cool as well. This is my goto for NBC Sports, movies.

Love it however i think it would be better with an on and off button. However it great, even have my spouse watching movie now. Good when there nothing on TV .

I prefer my xbox over this however my xbox is loud and overheats so as of typing this sentence I have changed my mind and now like this better than my xbox.

When considering all that is out there the Riki is the best for the money thus far ... I'm sure in the future we will it need anything on tv's to come one day

i have 2 of these and they are great, easy to move to other tvs and alot faster then my fire stick

I have netflix and hulu plus as opposed to cable service so i got this roku stick to stream on the TVs that i didn't have game systems attached to them. I was in between the chromestick and this stick. I chose this one because i planned on getting amazon instant video service as well but the chromestick doesn't have that app. And also roku has a cool remote app that i can control roku with my phone or tablet and the app doesn't delay either. The actual remote that comes with the roku streaming stick is cool and big enough so that you don't lose it. The remote makes me feel like i have cable again. The Only downside I've seen is that sometimes when I use the hulu app, my streaming just freezes once the episode is over instead of just going to the next episode like it should and i have to reset the roku stick. Not sure if there is a problem with the hulu app or roku stick itself. Overall I like it.

Great for staying in hotel rooms with our without children. Just make sure to have a wireless router or contact the hotels ISP to get your MAC address approved.

When I purchased the streaming stick, I was worried that it wouldn't have enough power and cause a lag, because the other higher priced alternatives have faster processors and memory. But the streams are quick and smooth and there is no lag. We love it and we're thinking of getting others for our other TVs. We may cut the cord and quick Comcast cable tv since SlingTV is now available and it includes lots of great live TV content.

The stick itself is very good but its remote is horribly unreliable and keeps losing its pairing almost daily. To reset pairing, you have to remove and reinsert the remote batteries, press the pairing button on the remote and press the reset button on the stick and then wait for the remote to re-pair. It is a total pain. Of course you can use the ROKU app downloaded to your smart phone in place of the remote, but that defeats the purpose of having a remote in the first place.

This is great for the televisions in our grandchildren's room and our guest room. No bothering with switching back & forth between remotes!

I had to buy a streaming device when Google suddenly decided not to stream Amazon on my smart T.V. The Roku 2 came highly recommended and positively reviewed. We are not disappointed.

So many options for streaming and this is the best one I've seen. Slick TV is amazing. I can have Netflix, Crackle, and other channels all in one location without needing a smart tv.

my apps started acting up on my smart tv and after a little research on repair cost i started looking in a diff. direction. the roku usb stick at $50 is just what the doctor ordered

Still some apps that need to be created either for the roku stick or chromecast but I find the roku seems to be a bit more stable than the chromecast stick.

Great way to stream channels to your television without having to broadcast them from your device! A direct connection to your wi-fi!

I prefer Best Buy Products because they stand by their products and will help when something is not working or wrong. And all the employees are so nice and very knowledge in the products.

Most of my tv watching is done by streaming, and this is one tool I would not trade for anything. It is easy to set up and once that's done, you can just sit back and enjoy your favorite networks like Netflix, Amazon, and especially Acorn. I haven't found Acorn using any other tool. I bought the least expensive Roku but it works really well!
