Very simple to use and setup. Roku gas the best streaming devices. The stick is a little slow though, comparable to the Roku 1.

This device, coupled with a HD antenna, plus a dvd player allowed me to cut the cable. Amazing choice of programming, 1000+ channels, although many of them are of a very specialized, narrow appeal. Within the thousand or more channels are numerous subchannels. I watch the CBS Evening News without ads, at the time I choose, with few ads. Main channels of interest are Netflix, Hulu Plus, and several other pay channels. CNN, FOX, CBS, NBC, FOX News, and dozens of special interest channels are free. Picture quality on Netflix is excellent, on some it seems they are not in HD., full screen but much softer picture. Some are clearly in SD. Easy operation and set up, although the channels operate, once you are on them, somewhat differently from each other, which might be confusing to some, although in truth most people will only watch less than a dozen channels so it shouldn't be a problem. Also there are audio only channels. For me, an excellent choice and and with an antenna to pick up local channels should satisfy most, although live sports might be a problem for avid fans.

I got the Streaming Stick for my parents because our "Smart Blu-ray Player" doesn't seem to like being smart and has horrible internet connection (as does our 1 "Smart TV"). I've had great experience with my Roku 3 so I decided to get this little one for my parents so it's hidden well. You can tell it's slower than the Roku 3 as far as processing and loading since it doesn't have the "Lightening-fast Processor" that the Roku 2 and 3 boast, but the internet connectivity speed is comparable.

I've had a Roku device before, then switched over to a smart blue-ray. There were no plans to upgrade the software to include HBO Go, so I decided to switch to a stick. I tried the Amazon Firestick, but felt it was too geared towards Amazon Prime. Also, my cable carrier isn't currently supporting HBO Go on Firestick. There's a workaround, but it's way too kluge. Happy with my decision. Easy to use and set up. Lots of hidden channels available as well.

My daughter loves this. Turns her TV into a SMART TV. Works great, easy to set up and best thing is it is portable so she can take it to a friends house.

Does everything my box Roku does. I needed to add a media player in a place where shelf room was a luxury. It's compact and convenient and out of sight.

I bought this for my older father and even he can work it without frustration. Thank you for a quality and seamless product. It fit all my needs.

I got this for my parents. The have big 55" Sony Bravia, older though, so it's not a Smart TV. This was the best gift. My mom loves it cause now she can watch her shows on Netflix and even some of the other apps that are available. Had some issues with setting it up though and it wouldn't power through the USB port on the TV, had to plug it into regular outlet. Other than that, it was easy to set up.

The Roku stick is easy to use and streams programs extremely fast. No lag time. This little gadget turned our old TV into a smart TV. Awesome device!!!

We are breaking up with DirecTv next month, so the Roku was a must-have for our family. Although we can watch programs on Hulu, Amazon Prime, and Netflix with our laptop connected to the TV, using the Roku is much more convenient. And we are constantly discovering Roku channels that we really enjoy, such as the Food app that lets us watch cooking videos. The only drawbacks: sometimes the Roku takes a while to load a channel, and there are tons of channels with content we would never want to watch.

I travel quite a bit and stay at hotels a lot, l can't stand to flip through channels and hope I land on something good. I have bought several other streaming players hoping to alleviate this but always hit a snag when it came time to connect to the hotel wifi/Internet. When I heard that the roku stick had a hotel/dorm feature that geniously allows you to connect to basically any wifi connection, I ran to Best Buy and bought it immediately. It's one of the most satisfying purchases I have made in a long time. No issues and super easy to use.

Very good product. Easy to use and register. Use the stick to watch my Prime content in the basement where cable is not available.

It works as advertised, and is pretty intuitive. The remote works great, and the smartphone app adds a whole new level of ease and convenience.

easy set up and very user friendly. were it not for local news and the NFL package on DirecTV I could easily just do away with cable or satellite.

It was difficult to get the Roku to connect to my wifi. After countless attempts, I discovered that my wifi signal wasn't strong enough for the Roku due to it's location. I found this out by connecting my router next to the TV. I could not leave it there because there wasn't a phone jack in the room and my home phone is connected to the router. I never had any connectivity issues with other devices within the same area. Needless to say I purchased a wifi range extender and it worked like a charm.

It is great to travel with and works great. A good purchase for me and my needs.

I considered getting the more expensive version but decided I just wanted to keep it simple. After having two blueray's fail in the streaming department, thought I'd try Roku. Installed, up and running in an instant! I couldn't be happier. My only complaint (and it is pretty minor) is that it doesn't default to the chosen input when turned on...so I still need to use the tv remote...

It is easy to set up and easy to use. I would recommend this if you have basic cable and want more channels like Pandora.

This Roku stick works great in my home. I love that it is compact but streams smooth and without any issue. Naturally, it gives me access to tons of apps and channels. I own several TV's and only one of them is a "smart" TV. This Roku stick does a GREAT job of turning my older TV's in SMART TV's but I get even more options with the Roku then most SMART TV's.

The Roku stick works great. Everything it's advertised to be. There are so many options and no need to continue paying high price for cable.
