So I'm one of those gadget guys, I've used many different streaming devices but this is the first "stick" type device and I'm not impressed. It does work, I do have to unplug/plug it in often because of a HDCP error or some such but it always comes back around. It's very slow to load apps or switch screens, at least in comparison to my PS3 or Apple TV and the video quality is much poorer than those other devices as well. Honestly I wish I had just put the money towards one of the non-stick models in hopes of better performance.

It works better than my Roku 1, its reception for HD movies is better thatn Roku 1 reception. I am so happy with my small streaming stick it does not occupy relevant space.

My family loves using this to watch Netflix on our big screen

lots and lots of choices, no reason to keep cable or satalite

I purchased the Roku in an effort to ditch the high monthly Uverse bill. I was really nervous to do this (just like when I was afraid to cancel the house phone years ago) because we had cable for so long. Now I wish I had done it sooner. The Roku is so easy to use and we can still get all of our favorite shows on Hulu and Netflix, for so much less $$ each month. The kids love it because they are finding some older series that they are hooked on.

This is the 3rd Roku Streaming Stick we have purchased. We have cut the cord (mostly) to cable and found the Roku does what we need and the Stick also is great for mounted TVs as there is no equipment to shelve.

One thing to remember is nothing is free. You do have to pay for a lot of the channels or have a cable subscription to get the known shows that most people are used to watching. It definitely offers more than 1000 channels. I am still getting used to it. I do like it my husband isn't as impressed because the shows he wants to watch you still have to pay for. It is very overwhelming at first but once you learn your way around its not so bad. I do not regret purchasing this but still will not sacrifice cable for it, it is a good addition to cable.

After our first streaming device of another brand started acting up, research led me to this one. I'm happy it did. This remote is easy to read/understand, and gets me to where I want to be quicker. A great buy!

Like that I can view amazon, google, and vudu on 1 device.

I have another roku I use but wanted to try this for a different tv in the house - like it so much better - so easy - to install & to use- totally recommend !!
