Bought this for my kitchen TV which does not have built in internet. ROKU allows you to watch from youtube or apps like that as long as you have wireless internet in the house.

We cut cable a few months back, and bought this for the kids playroom. Gives them easy access to Netflix and Amazon Prime for not much money, and not have to have another box device.

I have the base and stick. The larger your tv the bigger u want for speed in megapixel fill. Stick is ok for a small tv.

When I saw this I absolutely loved the concept. It would have worked perfectly for my tv in the living room. It worked great when we first got it for about two weeks maybe. Then the remote quit pairing with the tv majority of the time. I looked online and found that it happens but gave you a few different ways to solve the issue. None of them worked for me. I even tried new batteries for the remote just in case that was it and it didn't help. With the tv we got it was supposed to work from the powered USB port it has and it didn't. We had to keep it plugged into the wall but I'm not a 100% sure that was the roku. It could have been the tv but we've never tried using that port other than for this. So overall it's a great concept but has major flaws. Spend the extra money and get the roku 2/3.

You can use the ROKU Streaming Stick as an alternative to some ot he cable channels! There is content that everyone can watch/listen to; preschoolers to adult.

It took me a year to purchase the Roku and cut my cable. It has been the best decision. I was worried I wouldn't be able to figure out the Roku but it literally takes 10 minutes to set up and is so user friendly!

This is the great product, very convenient and easy to use. The only problem is fast forward and rewind,they are very slow.Over all this is the good streaming stick with great value.

Disappointed with the wires. It gets loose quite frequently and thus it needs again and again fixing. Would not advice to buy.

Instead of getting another costly box from my satellite provider for my husband's home office we got the Roku stick and it has been a good investment! He has been pleased with it!

We purchased the Roku3 for another TV and very satisfied, however, purchased the stick and had to return it. The connection was bad and kept losing connectivity. Returned it and exchangee for the Roku2. Much, much better....and returned without any problems because i did not have any of the original packaging. Thanks Best Buy.....U R THE BEST!

Offers most of the features of a roku 3 but for half the price. Good if you want a box on a non-main TV but don't want to spend the $100 in roku 3 or Apple TV.

This unit works fine, although sometimes remote doesn't respond immediately. I much prefer the Roku 3, which we also own.

So I have this Roku HDMI stick setup in my living room and I love it. I use it only for netflix and youtube, the channels it has didnt really interest me. Works great and I love that it has a remote control!

The Roku Streaming stick does not have all the features I really wanted. I got cheap, I really wanted an Apple TV but decided to buy this because of the price. The one thing I wanted it to do it wouldn't do, which was to mirror a video from my iPad to my tv. Also several times it just froze up and I had to get up and unplug it from the tv and plug it back in to get it to work. I took it back and got an Apple TV. Now I'm happy.

I love the Roku stick. If you have Time Warner Cable you can use a Roku to replace a cable box and use the TWC app on the Roku to get all the channels with out paying $13.00 a month for the box.

a friend ask to buy for him this roku stick, must be so good, because i don't see my friend in weeks, maybe is stucck in his couch enjoying the stream tv

I purchased this as part of a package deal with the Mohu Leaf 50 amplified so I could get off satellite or cable. Everything I watch I get on the stick. Good stuff.

Roku is good for Sling App.. but since I found our Chromecast will eventually support Sling, I returned the Roku device. Chromecast is also more friendly user than Roku.

Love the ear phones that we use with our remote. Instructions for set up was excellent and easy to follow. I did notice that the batteries in remote do not last long when using the ear phones.
