The Roku Streaming Stick is great! It’s compact, easy to set up and plugs into my HDMI port. It works as advertised and has all the entertainment channels / applications that I want.

There's so many options out there for media hubs, but Roku seems to have the most channel options (or at least all the ones that I want) and I love the portability of the stick even though the Roku 3 is supposed to run faster. I have a large Plex library and it's so convenient to be able to take just this stick and have access to my library at friends' houses, or even pull up my Netflix or Amazon Prime or HBO Go etc. At home it helps take the load off my computer by using it instead of connecting my computer directly to the tv as a monitor, and with the app on my phone I don't even have to use the physical remote!

I love my Roku Stick. It has lots of great varieties of channels that provide great TV and movie options for free (Such as the Crackle channel). This is a much cheaper alternative to cable service and I would recommend it to anyone! The Roku also comes with lots of free trials to subscription services like Netflix, Hulu, and Sling TV. The only downside to the Roku is that the remote uses a wifi connection to connect to the device. Sometimes for whatever reason, the remote doesn't work and I have to either remove the batteries or press the reset button. Other than that minor inconvenience, the Roku Stick is awesome!! Also the small portable design is another plus. I can switch it from my bedroom to my living room televisions depending on where I'd like to watch tv.

I have a DVD player that works fine but it's older and Netflix loads slowly. I didn't want to buy a new DVD player and was pointed to this device. It works great! It is very portable so I can move it between TV's.

I purchased this Roku Streaming Stick from Best Buy several days ago. Had to order it as none was in stock yet. This is the second one I own. I bought the first one from Roku. Because it has a remote, navigation is very simple. The content on the Roku streaming stick seems to be the same as all other Roku streamers. The stick is easy to hook up, setup and operate. I have one in my "office" and one on a 47" LCD in my garage. The Roku 3 is in my home theater system. Cannot say enough about the Roku streaming stick, especially with the ability to stream my own content using the PLEX app at1080p, movies, even in AC3 (dolby surround). This is a true Chromecast killer period. For a mear $50.00 each, you can afford to outfit several TV's and not break the bank. IMO, compare this to Chromecast, no one wants to use a touch screen to control an audio system. Buttons in the dark seem to be far superior than trying to use an IOS or Android device touch screen for control. Might be nice at first but it gets old when you have to look at a bright touch screen then back at the TV. You cannot go wrong with a Roku Streaming Stick, price, performance, app content and ease of use make it a winner.

I purchased the Roku - Streaming Stick based on its size and RF remote control. With the Streaming Stick you can place it out of the way by using the USB port on the back of the TV for a uncluttered look. The remote control the Stick without any issues and responds fairly quick. The access to Netflix, Pandora and Sling TV make watching programming easy and give me enough channels with out needed a Sat or cable box. I am also using a digital HD air antenna for local programming, so I can say I cut the cable! (Just make sure you have a good WiFi source for your streaming)

Love the Roku color choice. Neat shade of purple. The size is great for hiding behind your TV and with the included USB power cord with luck you can simply use the USB connector on the TV and everything is completely stealth. I only wish it was a bit faster loading on startup and app loading. Give and take with such a small design and current limitations on technology to cost balance. Oh and the remote works great! Take that Chromecast!

I have both the streaming stick and the roku 3 and the only discernible difference is the missing headphone jack on the stick remote and initiating netflix is slow on the stick when you boot it up. Great product.

My husband and I got this for our bedroom tv as cheaper alternative than getting an additional DVR box, and it's been great! It was really easy to install and is nice that you don't have another box cluttering up the shelf space in our bedroom. It's great because it gives us access to a lot of channels that we couldn't access before, and all we had to do was download our cable company's Roku app. We initially purchased the google chrome stick, but it was not at all what it was cracked up to be and returned it for this instead. Best decision we could've made, and we love our Roku!

Love this so much. We have the chromecast as well it is always searching for Internet while watching movies. The Roku is always working with no problem. Easy to use and love the ease of the remote.

This is a great media streamer. I like the size and it packs a big punch. The are a lot of apps for this item and im sure more to come. It does everything my son needs so I'm happy since he is. I have it a 4 out of 5 because i do not like the Roku remote control. Just like the rest of their remotes it tends to disconnect from the device and must resync with each other. The app is handy and works much better than the hardware.

I actually bought the stick because I didn't want any clutter on my entertainment unit and didn't need the extras that the box versions offer. I have no regrets. It is extremely simple to setup and very portable. We had a guest stay at our house and simply took the stick from one tv and plugged it into the one in the guest room - that's all it took. I also got the video streaming setup through the Roku Media Player feature that can be added through the free channels. It works very well (I have a computer running Windows 10, which is very easy to setup to have Windows Media Player sync up with Roku Media Player). This was a small purchase that turned out to be way more worth it than I had expected.

I bought this roku as a gift for my mother and she loves it. Installation is easy. It is required to set up an account with roku for purchases of movies, channels, etc. It may take a moment to sign into all of the services such as HBO, ESPN, or Netflix but once you are signed in it remembers the information. The roku has plenty of channels to choose from. I like it much better than the chrome cast which can stall and buffer in the middle of viewing. The roku shows perfectly. I highly recommend, it is definitely a great alternative to cable my mother reduced her package after receiving the roku. Side Note: You must have paid subscriptions to view channels such as ESPN, HBO, and Netflix.

Great item especially for those that have cut their cable or as an add on. Easy to set up and hides in back of TV so out of sight unlike their other set top boxes. The only caveat is that not all TV's have sufficient power through their USB port so you may have to run power cable to an outlet. Faster than the other set top boxes I currently own as well from Roku. Glad they came out with this version.

We already had the two (an older version that came with the headphone jack) and needed another one. The stick is not as fast as the two we have, but it is more portable, so take your pick. I was disappointed that the two no longer has the headphone jack. Would have gotten another two if the headphone jack was still there. The three is the only one with a headphone jack now and it was more expensive. So, if you want portability, this one is good. If you aren't going to move it around, go for the two. If you need a headphone jack go for the three. I don't know anything about the one.

Wow, I had heard good things about having a Roku but I had no idea how much I'd love mine! As I'm still going without cable or satellite television, it's delightful to have so many channels to choose from to watch movies, listen to music - and so many at no charge. I can see tennis matches that I otherwise might not get, and accessing my Netflix account to watch movies in an instant is a joy. I'm still discovering channels to play with - I could practice Spanish for .99 per month! Couldn't be more thrilled about this purchase!

I have used Roku's for years, they are a great product. The streaming stick is great, it works just as good as the boxes (has Netflix, NHL, MLB, and Amazon). My only issue is that it does not come with the HDMI extension cord. If your TV has the HDMI on the back facing the wall, you will likely need an extension to fit the ROKU between the TV and the wall. Roku will send you one, if you request it, but it is not included. I had to wait about a month for the backordered item to show up. Another clue that most people need them and they should be included...

I've owned all the streaming sticks (Chromecast, Amazon Fire Stick and this Roku) and I would put the Roku in the middle (ahead of the Chromecast but behind the Amazon device). + Setup was easy + Lots of apps to choose from - Remote intermittently doesn't send out commands - Interface is not the most intuitive - No HDMI extension cable like the other streaming sticks include

I love how this is a turn key technological product. You just use the hdmi on your TV and you add the codes and you download the channels you want. It is tv made easy. I even have my beachbody on demand as a channel, which I love. Plus if we move there isn't a whole lot of cords to set up. It's very portable. My complaint is with the remote. Its sensor times out and we have to adjust the batteries to get it to work at times. It could just be cheap batteries that it came with, but we shall see. Love, love, love my roku! I'd definitely get another!

Easy to setup and use - nice quality viewing - needs an extra HDMI adaptor to get surround sound thru my existing amp - so only have TV speakers
