I got the Roku Streaming Stick as a Christmas gift. My girlfriend and I liked it so much, we bought a second one for our bedroom TV so we wouldn't have to keep pulling it out of the port on the family room TV.

I like the stick, but would not recommend it. I would go for a better model roku. The stick is slow at time although there is no trouble with the movie or show I am watching. It give me a warning most times to start and have to unplug the roku stick and unplug the power and then plug it back in.

It works well and does most of what you could want it to do. The connection between the stick and controller is spotty the controller app works better and you can't fully stream a device like an iPhone or ipad

My family recently dropped our cable TV plan, and with the help of some other service s like Sling and Netflix, both of which stream via the Roku stick, we haven't missed it one bit. We still watch all the same shows , live and without the bill. As long as your WiFi is good, the stick never fails.

We purchased the Roku stick for our 85 year old Aunt and Uncle to use. Although our Aunt is tech saavy for octogenarian, (she uses an iPhone, ipad and a Kindle HD Fire) the setup of the Roku would have been difficult without assistance. Plug it in, supply power with the included adapter and then the work begins. To access most apps a network provider and password are required for each, Yes, you need to have a cable or satellite provider to use many of the apps. For the most part the Roku will be used to access Netflix and Amazon, both requiring paid accounts. Once set up and with some instruction on using the Roku remote our Aunt and Uncle have been enjoying watching Netflix and Amazon Prime on the 60 inch TV rather than the tablets.

Works great and very convenient. A bit disappointed that some of the recommended programs are not exactly what I would considered family friendly. There are no parental controls and I have not discovered a way to remove the suggested programs that are adult oriented.

I have both the Chromecast and the Roku stick. Chromecast is easier to use and works very well with the table or phone. Roku offers more choices for streaming but you work/menu off the tv rather than the tablet.

I have two of these and they are easy to install, true plug-and-play. With an online Roku account, you can add/remove any channel you want to your account and it updates to all you Roku devices. The stick has a strong enough WiFi receiver for my outdoor TV to receive signal from the router inside.

The roku streaming stick is not quite as fast as the roku 2. It has alot of channels available. I couldn't find any channel i wanted that was not available. All the roku products including the s stick are great for those looking to cut the cable cord. The stick is an outstading value for ghe price.

I had heard about Roku and how it would save my family so much money. We have been tied to a cable bill for over 30 years and for the first time we are free. The ease of using and setting up Roku is amazing. So easy to set up. Once you set it up you are all in at the movies. Happy, Happy, Happy

The Roku device works great once the show starts playing. However, getting the remote to work is challenging (it loose connection to the stick often). The stick also often loose connection to my Internet router.

I like my Roku 3 better. There is more delay to load on the stick. Once loaded I don't notice a difference between the stick and the box. It was on sale and for mobility, I'd still recommend the stick.

Bought it for my mom... Read some reviews that said it was easy to use, my mother isn't great with technology but she learned how to use this stick quickly. Buffers on the start of some shows, but haven't had any issues otherwise (had it for past 2 months).

portability allows me to share at friends' homes. wish there were a few less screens to go through during navigation. sometimes difficult to find a specific title. Overall, a good value for the money. Does allow me better access at a less expensive cost than cable.

I admit I have had cable all my life, but as I've gotten older and my children also, we don't watch but a few select channels. The price continually skyrockets and it became less of a necessity. With Sling, Hulu, and Netflix I am fine. I love this roku. Just mad I didn't cut the cord sooner.

The ROKU stick is an easy addition to additional TVs. The only thing you will have to be aware of is whether you have good WIFI coverage in your home so the ROKU will not have to buffer frequently.

I own five Roku devices now. I love the Roku three, but the Roku stick works very well. I really didn't want to spend the extra money for a smart TV. By using the Roku stick, it puts my TV in my wireless network where I can stream movies from various sources. I would recommend this product!!

While I still have cable, having the Roku Stick has made me feel I could get rid of cable and not miss it. Combined with Amazon Prime I can watch pretty much everything I want. As more networks start to put more online, devices such as Roku will make it easier for more people to get rid of cable.
