Wokrs great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It basically worked as a plug and play item. Very simple to set up and use. We haven't had any issues with it. Allows us to watch many our favorite streaming showers.

Easy setup and great apps
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the Roku Streaming Stick for its ease of use, 1000's of apps, and the fact it takes up almost no space. The only reason i gave four instead of five stars is that it takes a while to boot up. You could plug it into a permanent power source but i prefer to use a usb outlet on my tv that powers up with the tv. Not really a deal breaker just have to keep entertaining a toddler that keeps demanding to watch Mickie until it boots.

Great Way To Use Older TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I owned an older high end Samsung LCD TV that did not have Smart TV Capabilities. Bought a new 4K Curved Samsung for the living room, but hated to see the older tv go to waste. Put the old 40" Samsung in daughters bedroom , popped in the Roku Stick, now she is able to watch Nexflix, etc in her room with an excellent picture and multiple channel choices. Best $49 bucks I've ever spent ! --- saved a perfectly good tv, ---have a very happy 7th grader who's got a nice flat screen in her bedroom --- able to watch thousands of shows on thanks to a $49 Stick , Great Product !!

It's great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.this is the 3rd roku I buy. This one is small and great for a second tv. Picture quality is great. A little slower than the roku 2 and 3 but worth the price.

A Good Comprimise For The Price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this for my parents who wanted to watch Netflix in their bedroom but didn't have a smart TV. Their needs were simple: an easy interface to access Netflix. For the most part this fit the bill. It's a nice, small USB which takes very little space, has no wires, and its remote is very intuitive for non-technophiles. This was the cheapest option I found without having to have a hard wired connection. However, before you can use it you have to create a profile with Roku. This step is only simple if you don't mind giving them your credit card information. My parents did not want to do that (they had no plans to buy anything on Roku & didn't want to needlessly leave the door open to accidentally doing so). At first, second, & third glance it seems impossible to create the account, and therefore use the device we already paid for, without giving credit card info. I eventually sifted through online forums and found a convoluted way around this. I had to enter my credit card information, then go into some profile settings and remove it again, which was a ridiculous pain. The only other negative is that I wasn't able to program the included remote to control the TV, which means my parents now have to juggle two remotes to use Roku. All-in-all, if you're looking for the cheapest, easiest (except for registration), & layman friendly way to access streaming services on a non-smart TV, this is it. Otherwise, I highly recommend getting a smart TV, wifi Bluray, or other more versatile product.

Perfect Start to Cutting Cable Cord
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to install/use/program sync w wi-fi (cable co not needed) app on smart phone for inquiries & multiple channel information. (also can sync while in use w program). The ONLY problem was the remote doesn't always respond - found easy Re-program instruction online- otherwise YOU DO THE MATH!! For me the remote doesn't take enough away from the benefit of the product I give it a 5!! I'm buying more for the other TV in house now that it's a SUCCESS!!

Quick and Convenient
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Roku streaming stick works great. It is fast and reliable. I can also easily transport it to wherever I would like. The only downfall is that some stations, ESPN for example, do not have all the capabilities of the station on XBox. There are a few sports that are not options to search on Roku. Volleyball and wrestling are not listed on the Roku ESPN station but are listed on XBox ESPN station.

Little product with lots of power
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I originally bought a Google Chromecast and returned due to its lack of apps and limit of products that can work with (only Android). This device which is very similar but comes with a remote gives much more capability. It also allows screen mirroring and control from mobile devices. This device ultimately gave us the capability to cut the cord (somewhat). We moved to basic cable only with the addition of Netflix and the other free apps. The other nice part is this hides well behind the TV unlike the other ROKU products etc. It also doesn't cost nearly as much.

So much packed into a tiny stick
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been a roku user ever since they first came out and I've always loved their user friendly interface. They managed to pack everything into a tiny HDMI stick and it works as well as the older roku boxes. The remote is Bluetooth so it works no matter where the remote is pointed, although there can be a second lag for it to turn on and pair if you haven't touched it in a while. Just make sure you know where your HDMI ports are located if you have a wall mounted TV, if they're in the back of the unit then you would be better off with a box roku.

good TV add-on
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really only had a few problems with the stick. I didn't realize the HDMI port in the TV needed to be powered, otherwise you still have to run a USB cable from your stick to an outlet (or extension cord if your outlet is too far away). Also, there are some problems with the remote loosing the connection with the stick. Contact Roku support, or go on the FAQ page and you can request an HDMI extension to get the stick further away from your TV to prevent interference.

great entertainment and media option
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Device worked pretty much as advertised. Had an issue with getting Netflix up and running.... tech support was not very well trained to assist. I bought 2 Roku streaming sticks and continue to have problems with the remotes that came with both units. The remotes stall out and do not work. The remotes seem to eat batteries as well. Good news is that I downloaded the Roku remote app on my phone and tablets and they work fantastic. Overall I'm pleased with my purchase

Great for streaming to tv
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall, I am pleased with the Roku Streaming Stick. The only issue I have with the communication between the remote and the stick. Most of the time it takes more than one click to select an option. It's like there is not a good connection, even though I am less than 10 ft. away. But it does what I need it to do and works great for the purpose for which I purchased it.

excellent and cheaper roku option
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.this stick fulfills the same idea of the regular roku box, you can install several channels and watch all the content you like. Most of the services need a subscription but it's worth the simplicity of the stick and you can probably have all your streaming media in one place at the reach of a button. The new remote is excellent, little more bulky than the old model but has a few more functions. Hope the developer think about a way that you can program the buttons the way you like with the channels you prefer. Way to go Roku!

I love Roku
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the Roku stick. It is nice to be able to watch amazon prime and netflix on my TV. Sometimes the remote does not respond in a timely manner. You can download the Roku controler app on your smartphone and I have never had an issue with the response of this. I like that I can easily transport it between the TVs in my home. One TV does not give off enough USB power, so if your Roku keeps restarting just plug it into the wall.

Works as advertised
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my second Roku product as I have a Roku 3 set up on our main TV. Bought this for the second TV to see how it compared. Plugged into USB port on back of set, powered up and logged in. Watching my "channels" within minutes. A little slower responding than the 3, but works perfectly. I have added HD antennas to both TV's, cancelled my cable and probably have more quality shows to watch now (according to my taste) than before.

The Best
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the Roku Stick for my good friend in a west coast state. I had told her about Roku in the past. She purchased the original model which I also own. She was wanting another one for a different room, different TV. I spoke with her about it. She loves it, Ofcourse. I believe Roku has the most choices to offer in this type of device. It is accurately, efficient, and quick. The stick is economical and takes up little space. I don't believe you can go wrong buying a Roku.
