I bought the Roku mainly to get my Netflix on my tv without having to use my Tablet through a cord. I love it and not just for the Netflix. There are also a lot of other channels and apps I can add to it and hopefully those channels will keep getting better. I like being able to watch the nightly news later in the day when it is more convenient to me, along with the other news stories going on. Some of the channels I have are the pbs and Disney channels for my Grandkids, popcorn flicks popcorn flicks for kids, Crackle and All Recipes. All the channels I have except for the Netflix are free, I was even able to get a dropbox app to stream pictures and videos from my drop box, it isn't perfect and hopefully will be improved in the future but it works. I haven't had a lot of trouble with the network slowing down or anything. I like that it all plugs into the hdmi port and usb port on the TV and I don't have to run and plug to an outlet like some of the others I looked at.

Was going to get the Chromecast, but the salesman talked me into buying the Roku instead. The Roku has all that the Chromecast does, plus some. Only gripe is the remote. It can be sporadic in what it's doing at times. Other than that, no complaints. Many different choices what services to stream with the Roku.

I've told everyone about this product and many family /friends have already bought 1or more. It's easy to install and you'll be watching movies, tv shows& more. I'm ready to cut cable because Ruko is all I need and you can take it with you on vacation /hotel and never miss a movie/program again . Buy it you won't be sorry you will be HAPPY!!!!!!

I purchased this for my girlfriend as a stocking stuffer for christmas. We use the PS3 for all things netflix and hulu, but that is located in our front room. This is nice because it is tiny and doesn't take up a lot of dresser space in our room. There are so many apps to download and you have the capability of using your phone as the remote.

I decided to get the stick roku due to its size. It enables me to unplug it and take it with me when I travel. It work good. The only issue I have with it is the load speed. Sometimes it loads slow and freezes up. This does not happen with the larger roku units. U can look past this because of its size.

We have two Rokus in the house now, allowing us to cut the cable cord. They both work well, minimal issues that are easy to fix with an unplug cycle. It's a little overwhelming at first, but the system intuitive and is easy to use after it's all set up. Love the ability to cast from tablets and phones!

I needed a streaming device for our bedroom tv and as I own other Roku streaming products I decided to try this Roku stick. I have to say it works great. Very easy to set up, sets behind the tv so works well with my wall mounted tv. Connected right away and watching tv in a matter of minutes. Another great product from Best Buy. Winner!!

I purchased the Roku stick from Best Buy about a week ago, and it has been an absolute blast to use all week. We are streaming from my computer which is downstairs to a 32" Insignia 1080p unit in an upstairs bedroom and have had no issues. Channel selection is fast, and shows stream smooth and without lag or other issues. The selection of channels or apps that Roku offers is second to none, and some of our favorites this past week have been Netflix, HBO GO, Pandora, Amazon Instant Video, PBS Kids, TED, Youtube, VUDU, and the weather app. I did feel semi-stupid for not being able to use it my first night because I didn't realize I had to select the HDMI port it was plugged into with the remote (brand new TV and new to this whole HD thing), but once I stumbled onto the input button and selected the correct HDMI port the Roku logo came right up. Within a few minutes we were off and streaming, it guides you thru selecting your wifi source and password entry very easily. We are so impressed with this unit we are thinking about purchasing a TCL Roku TV for the living room to replace our outdated non-smart, non HD TV. But if we decide on another unit we will for sure get another stick like this one.

Easy to install, easy to use. Beats previously owned 'sound bars' hands down. Wireless makes a world of difference. Easily caught up on 4 seasons worth of missed Glee episodes over the holidays. I'm loving it!!!!! Bought 2 Roku streaming sticks and was so impressed that I ended up purchasing a 55" Roku smart tv as well. Very very pleased.

Excellent product, allows access to loads of apps, streming from phone, etc. Setup took some time (create roku account, download updates and apps) but is worth it and expected. Easy to take with you for hotel stays or whatever. Note that if you're tv is mounted and has only back facing hdmi ports, you may need an adapter.

If you want to get into streaming movies and TV shows to you HDTV, this is one of the easiest ways to go. It's simple to set up and easy to use. And new channels and apps are added constantly. For the price is the best there is!

Getting it set up initially was easy with the exception of connecting it to our wifi network. It rejected the network a few times, but we got it eventually. It's a bit slow to load when you turn on the tv, but otherwise moves pretty fast. Very convenient to move from one tv to the other if need be.

This little stick is amazing. I travel with it and it works brilliantly. The start up times are a little slow. I also wish it drew it's power from the hdmi port it uses...but the usb power plug has not been a problem so far. I chose this after using an apple tv for years now because it has a greater range of apps, like Amamzon Instant.

I have purchased 3 so far to stream tv to different tvs around the house. all work great. no problems with setup. runing net flix uses a lot of bandwidth if you want to surf the net while someone is watching tv things slow down. the device itself works as advertised. no problems at all.

I'll start with pros and cons. PROS *Very portable, simple HDMI dongle with power adapter. Easy to transport if needed. *Does what it's supposed to. Turns a non-smart TV into a smart TV. CONS *It's slow. I'm also factoring in the price/value. It's not too slow for the value, but it is fairly slow. Do not plug into the USB port of your TV (if you have one) because it will have to start up every time you turn the TV off and on. As a side note, I'll say that the internet connection set up was a nightmare. There's not as much information on the topic that I could find online, and just had to tinker with it for about an hour before I could get it to work. The problem isn't necessarily with Roku's device, but the compatibility of some wifi networks.

With crazy pricing these days, having two cable boxes makes zero sense. We have a cable box in our living room and the Roku in our bedroom and it's great! It loads a little slow, but i think that's because of our internet provider. The Roku has a super easy setup and was up and running within 10 minutes of me getting it home.

I brought this device to stream tv programs like Netflix and hulu.com plus. But to my amazement there are over 300 tv programs to stream from and most of them are free. The roku shows a nice picture and sets up to any tv in minutes. I really love this product.
