I have the older version (5 years old) and I can notice performance improvement but not significant. I like the new remote because it's rechargeable, backlit and lighter weight. Sometimes I have to click more than once for the Roku to respond and I'm not sure if it's a remote issue or Roku box itself. Overall it's a nice streaming box, it's worth it if it's on sale for $70 or $80.

Good equipment. easy to use. I recommend it to anyone.

I bought this to provide Atmos sound to my older TV. TV has great picture, but does not support newer sound protocols. Roku provides both updated streaming and audio protocols and keeps my TV uptodate.

I had been using my Sony Smart TV and my Dish Network Satellite Box to play the apps I subscribe to. However some of the apps would function better on one of these two devices than the other. Example --- For Netflix sources having Dolby Atmos audio the Sony Smart TV would play Dolby Atmos through the 5.1.2 speakers where as the Satellite Box would not but the Sony TV's remote has limited playback functionality. So, I decided to add a full blown streaming player to my system as a single go-to for playing my apps and the Roku Ultra reviews and write-ups suggested it has top notch audio and video outputs, a great remote, and excellent functionality in playing apps. I purchased and set up the Roku Ultra and agree on the audio and video outputs and its remote but its functionality in playing at least some of my apps is less than that playing them using both the Sony Smart TV and the Dish Satellite Box or on one of the two. Example --- In playing my Amazon Music Unlimited app on the TV or Sat Box the song choices display their audio quality and when a song is playing its track quality can be displayed. Not so playing the app on the Roku. I am back to needing to use the device that best plays any particular app. I wasted my money adding the Roku Ultra to my home theater setup for the purpose of doing so, but otherwise it is a very nice device.

Nice job Roku! Love the rechargeable backlit remote. Quick loading, mostly plug and play. Includes cables. Easy setup. It works! Buy it, you won't be disappointed.

First time streamer - bought this for our RV and it was super easy and quick. Will probably add another to our house and ditch cable completely.

This is one of the best streaming devices that I have recently bought. The ROKU ULTRA 2024 is faster than any of the previous models. The backlit remote is great. Still a little weak on the voice commands but not really an issue with me.

I purchased the new Roku Ultra to go with my new TV. It provides great picture and sound to my steaming. I prefer Roku over the Fire Stick and enjoy the Roku Channel. This was a great purchase for me.

I bought this streaming device for my parents living room tv since the google tv in the sony tv is lagging and it's excellent and fast. Use wifi instead of ethernet port for the fastest internet connection

I can’t believe how much more responsive and vibrant this Roku is. It’s a much needed upgrade from my old model from 2019.

Very easy to setup and use. The remote is fine and you can use your phone if you want to.
