Easy set up. Easy to use and simple interface. Needs a better remote layout. I have 5 rokus, and this is my 2nd ultra. Only negative is the remote. Very simple but id like the app remote to be able to be customized.

The overall ROKU experience hasn't changed much over the years, the devices just keep getting better and faster. This years Ultra is no exception. Picture is fantastic, with the correct source material, and having the built-in headphone option is a nice add.

I believe this is the 2nd cheapest solution to get dolby atmos from streaming services for those who own a pre-2020 4k tvs. Roku stick can do the same thing but this one has much nicer remote control.

It's been used for a over a month since I bought it. I love it. It is super fast. We have not had any problem or stand-by yet. So far it is so worth it for the price and the fastest compared to other two brands I have used.

I had one of these but died after about six months. It worked really well and was easy to use. I liked it so well that I bought another one just like it. So far it's working great. I hope it gives me years of service.

I am completely happy with this purchase. It controls my tv and sound bar with no issues. Fast operation no stutter or lag. Plays Dolby Atmos and Dolby vision great. I have this paired with a Vizio 65 inch OLED with a Dolby Atmos sound bar.

The Roku Ultra was extremely easy to set up, and the antennas are clearly arranged to maintain a strong wi-fi connection. There is very little lag when opening apps, and the remote is exceptional. I'm glad I purchased it over a stick-type streaming device.

I love these Roku's. I've always owned the hard wired Roku's. These are so much better than the apps on the smart tv's. They are fast and you can add or delete apps quickly. You can also switch apps quickly as well. I did have an older Roku that I purchased seven years ago and it died. It started to freeze on me. But it lasted seven years. And I'm expecting this unit to last at least that long or until I buy the 8K or 16K versions in the future. I've never understood why people would buy a new TV and then complain about the apps not working flawlessly. You are buying the TV for the TV and not for the apps. If you want a flawless app experience then buy the Roku. This review is for the Roku hard-wired Ultra. I've never owned the wireless version so I don't have any experience with those.

Roku continues to be the easiest and cleanest streaming box. The remote is much better than Apple's junk. Solid 4kk images from this box and fast response times.

The disconnect between the title and the 5 star rating is because you need to enter your email in order to activate the account. There is no need for that. Roku is just a special purpose computer. When I buy a computer (Mac or Windows), I do not need to create an “account” unless I want some sort of “cloud”, Same for many other products. At least, they let me skip the credit card part, which is good. Otherwise I am *very* pleased with the new Roku. This is actually a replacement, as my 4 year-old Roku is on its way out. The new one is even better.

We use about 4 Roku’s in our home Andrey this model is by far the best. I got rid of my Apple TV because of it doing so much more. Plus the headphone plugging inside the remote to get sound without any additional steps is wonderful!

I've used plenty of old cable boxes in the past and this is just as quick and easy as any of those type of things. Reliable and fast. Remote is very intuitive by far, I didn't even need to read the button locations and I was using it immediately.

Very easy to set up and use. This is the second Roku Ultra that I bought and it was easier to set up than m first one that I bought a few years ago. Excellent picture even though the wifi isn't as strong where this TV is located.

My first Roku was given to me by a friend and so I grew to really enjoy using it for the hand-me-down TV with the blue line running down one side and the fuzzy sound. But when I bought a whole new TV set up (or Home Theater as BB termed it) it was obvious that my old Roku just couldn’t cut it with the new technology. So, I bought this new whizzo Roku. Firstly, the set-up was a breeze. The instructions were clear, concise and easy to follow so no set-up melt-downs. In a trice it was in operation and I was enjoying having all the controls and buttons on this one gadget. I even tried out the earbuds the other day and the sound was excellent. There are many extra features on this particular model and if there was an 8 year-old boy around, I would probably learn them all. But I’m happy with what I know. This Roku is sweet!

Works amazingly well. Great picture and sound. I bought it for the Dolby atmos component. I’ve had fire sticks and Apple TV and this is as good or better than any of them. Using it for home theater and have not been disappointment.

Roku is the O.G. and the best streaming device there is. Simple to use with way more channels than you'll ever use. Works great and is fast. Added this one to a Samsung smart tv because the tv apps are so slow. The Roku fixes all of that.

The Roku Ultra (2020) is very fast/responsive. The voice remote works very well. The variety of free shows and movies is amazing. It also has ALL of your favorite subscription services plus many niche subscription channels. The device has a remote finder button. The search feature shows you all the applications that have the show/movie you searched for and whether the program is free or requires a subscription or a one-time payment. I have not used the private listening feature yet, but the feature may be helpful if you do not want to disturb someone else in the home. It is far superior to my Apple TV (3rd Generation) that I absolutely loved. I do not have any experience with the latest Apple TV prices, but given the cost of the latest Apple TV devices, the Roku Ultra 2020 is a bargain.

at this time it is the best streaming device on the market. gives me 4k and dolby atmos surround for my movies! i love Roku. Very fast response and all the apps and streaming services available on one device! great remote too with voice.

Great upgrade from my television’s built in streamer. Much better picture, faster and better audio. Remote is improved but I’m using it with my Harmony remote. Worth the upgrade, especially at the price.

Fantastic UI, super quick to use, and has the best app selection for a streaming device. The 4K looks amazing. I wish I had picked this up earlier (had previously been streaming on a video game console).
