I wasn't sure how much of the movie might deal with the "physical" aspects of the girl's relationship with her abductor. The movie is not graphic in that respect, which I appreciated, but does a good job of having you understand how she is a prisoner. Her assimilation back into a more "normal" existence was done very well. An emotional movie.

Excellent portrayal of a young woman who was kidnapped and spent 7 years in captivity. During the time she was pregnant and had to raise a child and keep her sanity. The second half deals with the aftermath once she escapes and moves back in with her parents. The performances are solid particularly by the child actor.

I read the book before seeing the film. It translated pretty well, although some things were missing/changed. I didn't feel like the film captured the difficulty of their transition from captivity to home the way the book did. With that said, still a wonderful movie that will evoke a roller coaster of emotions.

This movie was worthy of all the praised given it. Takes a very disturbing story and manages to be inspirational at the same time. Brie Larson deserved all the awards she won. This also features one of the best child performances of recent memory. Can be a bit slow in spots and may not be for everyone.

This is one of the best movies of 2015. It was nominated for best film and Brie Larson (the main character) won best actress at the Academy Awards. If you haven't checked it out yet than you should buy this. Always buy blu-rays not dvds.

I read the book when it first came out and read it cover to cover in one day, so when I heard they were making a movie based on the book, I was really excited! Bree Larson is amazing! The little boy is just precious and moved me to tears. If you want to see a great movie, this one is worth buying!

This movie was based on the book Room. I haven't read the book, but all of the different emotions in the movie were incredible! What a great cast! The lead actress won the Oscar for best actress and the little boy who plays her son did an incredibly awesome job!!! I consider this a must see movie!

Very overwhelming movie, but in a good way. It has heart and thrill, which makes for a great movie. Brie Larson does a fabulous job at playing Ma, and the relationship between Ma and Jack is so pure and sweet.

Room is not only one of the best movies of the year, it's one of the few films that actually plays just as well on the small screen as the big screen. A haunting movie that will stay with you for a long time. And go back and listen to the director commentary, which is very revealing too.

This movie definitely deserved awards! It was an excellent movie! One of those movies were you can put yourself in the situation and imagine what you would do in the same situation! You also yell at what the characters are doing, which I think both of those make great movies! Watch it!

Room by Emma Donoghue is one of my favorite books! Room, starring Brie Larson and the adorable Jacob Tremblay brings this book to life in the best possible way. What a beautiful if not haunting story of love, loss, and courage. The young Mr. Tremblay steals the show in this movie.

Fantastic acting! Loved the child & his perspective of the situation contrasted with that of the mother. It was so touching, for so many reasons, that I cried for days.

Excellent movie! This movie pulled me in from the beginning and never let go. One of the best drama flics I've seen in a while. The mother and son worked perfectly together as an acting team. It shows people can recover differently after experiencing a traumatic situation.

I was going to buy just the DVD but my husband pushed me into buying the blu-ray + digital copy version. I'm very happy that I did! We only have one blu-ray in the house but more than one Roku. It's no wonder that Brie Larson won an Oscar for her performance in Room!

Room is a very unusual but good movie about a kidnapped mother and her son locked in a tiny room that is the son's entire known world The mother created a mythology to help her son to cope and made for some interesting wrinkle when the escaped to the outside in the second half of the movie I would heartily recommend this movie to anyone looking for an original movie

Brie Larsons' Oscar winning performance is one of the best I've seen this year. She made you feel her pain and root for her. Jacob Tremblay is a star in the making. Great story, great directing! Made me nervous while watching it in the middle of the movie. See it!

One of the best films you could ever see. The story, the acting, and the production hold this film into one of the best of last year. The bluray itself is beautiful. For a quiet film, the sound is still immersive. The extras are slim, but still get the job done.

Without giving too much way this film is about a mother and son and the way they survive a horrendous situation. This is a must see although it is a disturbing ordeal. The two main actors are superb. Brie Larson is amazing in this movie.

This is a heartbreaking portrayal of a kidnap victim and her son and what she has to go through on a daily basis just to stay sane. The performances are pretty great across the board and Brie Larson is definitely deserving of all the praise thrown her way.
