One of the best live action anime adaptations I have ever seen. I highly recommend this trilogy to anyone who is a can of the anime or just a fan of Asian cinema in general.

This is how an anime live action adaptation should be done!!

So I bought this for a movie night with some of my closest friends and they've never seen the anime series or OVA movies. And its surprisingly an anime movie adaption done pretty well. Though it kind of does skip almost over one character entirely that was relevant in the show, the one kid I can't remember his name. Like his introduction to the show was an entire episode, in the movie here though he just sorta appears and just stands around in the background and doesn't really do much. My friends never seeing the series before did like it so its welcoming to new comers to the series. However if you are a fan checking this out you'll like the Trust & Betrayal bits you see very briefly. Its worth checking out and shows that Japan can handle some adaptations better than Hollywood can haha.

Almost perfect adaptation of the anime, although did think that the second and third movies were actually better movies. Comes with UV code for both subtitled and dubbed editions of the movie. Very happy to find this on the shelf after Best Bu carried the second and third movies at release. Highly recommended if you liked the anime.

The anime will always have a special place in my heart, so I was a little wary of trying this. There were obviously some changes from the manga and anime, but I thought they did a pretty good job of consolidating things down. We watched the dub for my husband, and that was much better than I expected!

I loved the anime, and this movie is pretty much faithful to it. It has a good story, and the fight choreography is fantastic. I'm just glad that Hollywood did not touch this material, or this would have ended up being just as bad as Dragonball Evolution.

If you're a fan of the series, you shouldn't miss this adaptation. They change several things from the source material but that's to be expected. The anime and manga are full of events and characters that could no way be captured in 3 movies. If you know nothing of the series, it's still worth a watch.

Loved this trilogy and I'm a long time fan of both the manga and the anime. Live action Kenshin running around, looking dazed, and babbling out his trademark "oro" was quite funny. A great start to a well done series. Highly recommended!

If you liked the anime you will like this. The two main characters are the best part of the movie they remind me of the characters of the anime it's basically the first season of the anime crammed into three movies don't expect Gore you can clearly tell impalements or on the side of the body

Best live action movie of a beloved franchise Rurouni Kenshin follows the anime by condensing down much of the first season. The actors are a great fit and the fight scenes are awesome with no CG just good old fashion choreography.

this trilogy is fairly good to watch and the fight scenes are for the most part really good. Some of the moves that they have Kenshin do are a bit weird and really dont jive to well with the anime and how its explained there. Other than that it is fun to get back into this series after a long time.

A great film, even if you're never read the book or heard of the series. If you have, though, it's an even better experience since it doesn't stray from the manga. Great casting for each character, good effects.

One of the few anime adaptations that actually works on the big screen. Some things were changed, but within the time frame you have to accept that. Helps if you're a fan of the source material, but doesn't diminish the quality of it even if you're not.

This was a great adaption from the anime. The cinematography was excellent as well as a character design. I feel that The two new sequels are going to be great as well. See you

Love the younger Japanese generation getting into the samurai genre of film. Rurouni Kenshin is one of the better productions of this kind. Reminds me of Azumi parts 1 & 2 which I think is better but I do recommend this film also.

Follows the Kenshin anime series and does a very good job despite the differences in ability to perform some of the tasks between the anime to the live action.
