I am a car fan so this movie was high on my list of ones to see. Went and saw it with my girlfriend who is less enthusiastic about cars and she still thought it was excellent. Ron Howard did a great job telling the story in such a way that it appeals to all audiences while still being faithful to the actual events that inspired the movie. Highly recommended

This movie came and went without much fanfare. But I was excited from the previews. And it more than delivered. There's some cinematic flair going on - the race car drivers weren't hated rivals in real life like they were in the film. But the performances are spot on and the race scenes are gripping. One of the best films of the past few years.

This is a great movie for racing fans and has a storyline based on actual events around the Lauda/Hunt rivalry. Racing sequences are sensational and the story fascinating. Strength of the story should hold interest for anyone even if they don't follow racing. Blu ray is wonderful and is the first movie I watched on my just delivered 65" Samsung curved tv.

Ron Howard's direction, and performances by Daniel Bruhl and Chris Hemsworth, make this a thoroughly enjoyable movie to watch. Any fan of Formula 1, and auto racing in general, should see this movie. Nikki Lauda was an amazing driver during his prime, and his story is one that should be shared.

I have been a race fan my entire life. I remember the real F1 season this movie reflects. Its nice that actually drivers and fans can say this movie is good. Most "racing movies" are terrible. This one stands out with the classic "Grand Prix" as a mix of wondeful story and excellent art. Even if you aren't a race fan you need to see this for the story.

The movie is a fair depiction of the rivalry between Hunt and Lauda as they pursued the Formula 1 championship. This story provides the viewer what those days were for F-1 drivers, the lack of safety and the immense danger they lived under every time they strapped into their cars. Modern Formula 1 has changed with driver safety the utmost concern for the sport. Not so back then. A good action packed movie by Ron Howard.

One of the best depictions of f1 from that era. Hard to imagine it's a true story, much of the dialogue are taken from footage back in the time. A must for any race fan, and I am sure the non race fans will find the true life story both entertaining and engaging. Plus its a Ron Howard movie, he only makes good movies :)

When Ron Howard made a movie of one my favorite F1 drivers. I had to see the movie. Which was great. When it came out in the DVD format I wanted to add it to my collection of movies. And I see it when I want several times a year. If you like racing this is a movie to own.

This is a classic, in my book! I love the story, and the ROAR of the cars as they race by is amazing! It's a visceral, visual experience to behold. Definitely one you want to watch on the big screen, but it's nice that the digital copy and DVD are included for watching on basically any device.

Based on actual events and better than any of the fictional race car films. With the latest technology in movie making, takes you right into the horrific race car accident. Also, delves into the private lives and turmoil of the most elite racers on the planet. Phenomenal film and filmmaking! Highly recommended.

I was fortunate to meet both of the subjects of this movie (Niki Lauda and James Hunt) while working as a scrutineer for Formula One. My time was after James had retired, but Niki was driving for McLaren and Team McLaren was my assignment for 4 races. So, seeing a movie about my sport and having people that I have met in it was a no-brainer. It should have done better at the Academy Awards.

As I mentioned, Rush is a very good re-telling of the Nikki Lauda/James Hunt story. True stories are sometimes boring, but not when it involves Formula One racing. The modern-day cinematography is exceptional, and the archival footage was nicely interspersed. I would recommend this film to any racing fan, Ron Howard fans, and anyone else who would like to enjoy a well-put-together film.

The movie rush itself is absolutely fantastic. It Melds seamlessly drama and action with all the inspiration that a true story carries. Unlike other racing movies, there is enough technical mumbo jumbo to satisfy the most avid car-guy. While I do appreciate the hd rendering of the movie, the bluray special features are a bit lackluster. Just your typical featurettes and deleted scenes.

A really well made movie which stays close enough to the actual facts. Two great drivers with different styles. Hunt was my hero at the time with that flamboyant style visible from trackside.

I watched this with a friend who isn't into racing like I am, and all he could talk about was how exciting the movie was. It kept the intensity up throughout the movie, there aren't really any lulls. The movie does a great job of keeping focus on the characters rather than only on the cars.

definitely one of my favorite movies hands down its got everything from fast paced racing to hilarious humor, but the only thing i did not like about the film was the way ron howard portrayed hunt and lauda's relationship. he made it seem as if the rivalry was bitter and that they were not friends in any which way, which in reality wasn't the case. but overall fantastic movie

As a big Chris Hemsworth fan, I like to see him branch out from anything "not" Thor. Love Thor, but I like to actors stretch. Good vehicle for it, because he could not be less Thor-like in this movie. Action and a side of Chris you don't normally see. Nasty boy, but fun! Also, you can't beat the price for this one on sale. Get it!!!

I loved this movie!!! As a kid growing up, my dad was into big time watching Formula 1 racing or any type of car racing at that. This movie shows the other side of life and what it takes to win.

Saw this movie on TV by chance and loved it. Ended up buying it on BluRay at Best Buy for $5. Worth every penny. I love racing but not the biggest F1 fan but it did not matter. Good film, highly recommend it.....just not with kids around due to some nudity and language.

Trials and tribulations of a racing start's rise to fame. Story shows the ups and downs of the racing world along with heartfelt joy and pain. Two opposites who are rivals in the racing world. One enjoys life and one, seemingly an outcast, works at it and has an attitude. Overall, this is an entertaining story against the backdrop of the racing world.
