I was originally thinking of the GoPro Fusion. Found the Rylo camera. The attachments are compatible with the Fusion and accessory batteries are cheaper. The video and photo quality are awesome. Camera is cheaper than the Fusion.

The 360 option really caught my attention. Not only be able to record but be able to select the direction of camera flow through the phone app. It takes a little time to get used to but so far I have enjoyed the picture quality and versatility of editing options.

The hardware and software are great with this camera but Rylo was bought out by a software company. Rylo hardware will not be produced anymore after this acquisition. In setting up my camera I have reached out to support several times and have never heard back from them. Their website is full of dead video links in the FAQ/Support section. It's a shame because the camera is so much better than GoPro's option because of the software. Even though I am keeping this item, it might become an expensive paper weight real soon.....

Great quality. I love the Rylo action camera for its clear quality video taking. The only downside was that I was not able to review my footage.
If you’re OK reviewing your footage later than this is a camera to go for

I'll get right to the point. If you want to do 360 video then give this camera a good look. I haven't used any other ones so I have nothing to compare to but in general the Rylo 360 does a nice job. I ride a stand-up bicycle and I go to some neat places. I've been recording on a normal action cam but it can only capture so much of the surroundings. With the 360, depending on the position of the camera, I get it all now. It has pluses and minuses and in my opinion, a lot of the items are actually both. I'll go over a few now.
Let's talk about the positives first:
The stabilization works very well. It's not perfect but it's really close.
The transfer between the camera and phone is pretty fast. This is because you have to plug the camera into the phone. So this is a positive and negative.
The phone does all the editing. You are completely mobile. You'll probably need to look at the online help file a bit to figure out some of the features but the app does a real good job of allowing you to get an interesting video.
The phone app is really smart. It handles little nuisances that show that Rylo is really thinking things through. If you save the video while your phone is in portrait mode, it will save the video in portrait mode. Tilt it to landscape and it will save in landscape.
It takes 360 degree photos!
Once you generate videos/photos, you can send them to social media and other places really easy.
The camera itself is real simple to operate. One button to turn it on/off. The same button starts and ends the recording. These is one other button to switch between video and photo mode.
The everyday case is using the defacto mounting hardware so finding a mount for your situation is easy.
Now some of the negatives:
When downloading the footage from the camera to the (Android) phone, it will not give any option to save to your SD card. It saves to the phones internal memory. That means you have to have some space to work with. On top of that, the output video it generates also gets written to the internal memory. This means you'll need to constantly delete the imported footage to keep room available.
The quality of the video it produces leaves a little to be desired if you are looking at the video on a computer with a 23 inch monitor. Viewing on your phone/tablet or one of the social media platforms your audience will think it's great. I did try the super fast SanDisk Extreme Pro v30 card. It does make a difference because it will write at up to 90Mbps whereas the card that comes with the camera is less than half that speed.
You have to watch out where you put your hands when you grab the camera. The double sided lens takes up about 1/2 of the camera and if you put your fingers on the lens you'll need to wipe them clean. On the plus side, the pouch Rylo includes to hold the camera doubles as a lens wipe on the inside. Again, they are thinking!
Battery life is only 1 hour and it takes 2 hours for a full charge. That's ok but isn't completely ideal. I'd like at least another 50% of life to be comparable to many of my cameras.

It’s nice being able to record 360 and not have to constantly aim camera in the right direction. App is ok, but take some getting use to. Kind of a pain having to load and review every video.

Video on this camera is excellent. Sound while in the action case is a bit muffled. The instructions and app could use some improvements. Overall though it is a nice piece of equipment.

I didn’t know to ask all the right questions. The battery only last one hour. So it doesn’t matter whether u buy bigger cards. I was looking for 4 hours. Plus you can’t plug it in and charge to get around that. Won’t record if plugged in. I have discovered tho it will download onto an iPad too. (Just a larger iPhone really). Not only does it have to be in proximity of the iPhone to use the remote on the phone to turn it on, it has to be plugged in at first to connect it. So I’m passing on what I’ve discovered.
Good luck.

I have had a 360 camera for several years and this like an opportunity to get an advanced model for a bargain. then I found out that the original company was bought out by a software company. The software company only wanted the software and decided to sell off the hardware stock and cease further production. Many replacement/repair parts are already no longer available. I returned it the next day.
The camera itself was excellence, too bad!

This thing blows the GoPro out of the water. It has a built in gimble and its 360 degrees. Did you point the camera to far down? No biggie. Just point it up in the software and its stabilized!

Best 360 cam until others copy it. just after the news firmware updates came out solving the brown coloration issue. Thanks, Rylo, for fixing that! I find that the color is fantastic now and video from the Rylo blends well with video taken from my Osmo. It's nice to know that Rylo solved that issue. However, there are still some things that could be improved upon.

After extensive reviews and many how-to videos of cameras on the market- Rylo. The app on your phone is how you edit??? No meed for a computer??? That’s the future I want and it’s so easy with the software already installed and ready to go out of the packaging. This camera is just what I wanted.

I had my eyes on this camera for quite some time now. When it dropped in price, I had to get it now. This camera is awesome. The app is so easy to use and helps create professional looking videos. Picture quality is really good under good light but quality becomes poor at low light.
