This cover is for both sides of the phone, front and back. Think it makes a screen protector unnessesary. Like the cover well enoughm maybe the black edges could be clear or lighter.

I was happy with the protective case, and it's been keeping my phone from getting damaged. Best Buy let me know when the case was in and ready for me to pick up. The service people in that department installed the case and cleaned my phone afterwards.
