This game seems weird when it's described. You're a goddess who looks like a child. You must grow your own rice. And you battle demons. Oh and the rice is how you "level up"and get stronger. These elements seem very weird but they come together in what turns out to be a very fun game. It takes the calming nature of menial farming games and hectic nature of a fast-paced action game and puts them into a single package.

Picked this up when it came back in stock, since I was not able to get the standard edition. For $10 more, you get a lot more goodies including CDs, a stunning artbook, and a charm. Game is beautiful and quite charming, although it takes awhile for it to get going. Really loved the gameplay once things picked up though. My only complaint is that I went to pick this up since it was the only one available within 250 miles, and the box had a small crease on it. Maybe that's what happens when the item is the last one in stock. I didn't want to order from Amazon because I was afraid of how they might handle collectible boxes so I was disappointed with this, but I can live with it.

The game can get rather tidious and repetitive. It hunt gather and farm. Rinse and repeat. But graphic n character design r great. Gameplay is wonderful it a 2d side scroller when out hunting and gathering but farming rice is 3d. Main character have nice arc to her story. I've learn much about growing and harvesting rice while playing this game lol. Overall it's fun if you can get past the things stated on first two sentences.

Fantastic game that will entertain all ages. Whether it's for a 5 year or a fifty year old, Sakuna is an incredible experience on the Switch. The game looks absolutely gorgeous with a wonderful art style and some impressive lighting effects that make everything look quite authentic. This is a rice simulation that covers almost every detail about farming rice, but it never feels too complex. It is rather intuitive, and after a couple seasons you will understand the essentials very well. The action portion of the game is a bit sloppy and gets a bit too chaotic, but it's ultimately very satisfying. People who aren't into simulation games will probably not enjoy it. There is a lot of platforming and combat-oriented gameplay, but the rice farming simulation is the core of it all. If you don't like those slow-paced, realistic games of micromanagement this probably won't be for you. That being said, this one should be considered by anyone who loves those detail-oriented simulators.

I really love the visuals and gameplay. It's not your typical action adventure game, it combines the elements of rpg side scroller with farming elements. Not to mention its refreshing to play as a character like Sakuna who literally has to change the way of her life.

Now this was a game I wanted to get behind. The visuals are so great, the story is a ton of fun and there are multiple mechanics that change the way you play. I love this one, although it's not easy to find a physical copy.

Awesome game! Excellent visuals and gameplay. One of my favorite games of this year. The art book, soundtrack, and charm are pretty sweet. If you know the game Muramasa: The Demon Blade, you definitely need this.

Game is amazing and I love the display box and the goodies it came with. My only complaint is with the shipping. It came super beat up and damaged. I wish I would have sent it back for a replacement but I didn’t. It looks awful. But the game itself is very fun and unique.

This a unique game that combines farming simulation with action Adventure side scrolling. This version also comes with some fun goodies like the sound track and an art book.

It was the last one in stock when I went to my farthest Best buy at the American dream Mall. To get this release is really rare so I'm 100% glad that I got it

Beautiful game and very under-rated. If you like 2d platforming and farm simulator with a heart-warming story this game is for you.

A fun combination of side scrolling action and growing rice (!!). The divine edition is gorgeous and has tons of goodies that are well worth the extra $20.

Amazing game the extra money for the collators edition is worth it. Gameplay is different than what is out there right now. Some farming but also action.

The controls are a little off, mostly when it comes to laying out seeds and using certain attacks. But XSeed has been providing good updates and listening to feedback. I've enjoyed both the graphics and voice acting.

Awesome Game. Got it in the dark days of the year of our lord 2020.

The storyline is original, and refreshing in contrast to so much of the current media rehashing old mediocre offerings for the gorrillionth time. Lots of comedic situations, and amusing encounters. The combination of side scrolling action game, and farming simulator blends well for hours of interesting entertainment.

Extremely well put together game. Combat is enjoyable and farming sim elements are done great as well. Absolutely love the character interactions.

The platforming segments are like Megaman Zero. The planting segments are very calm, chill, relaxing, yet thoughtful. All of this is wrapped around a very touching story. It's my Game of the Year for 2020.
