This stand is shipped in two large flat boxes and requires full assembly. We paid a handyman for several hours labor to get this done. That said, the finished product is very substantial, has excellent wire management, and looks very good in our room. I do think an item in this price range should be assembled and marked it down a little for that reason. We put small glides under all ten feet so that it will move easily for us. We have already received many compliments on it.

Ordered this cabinet from Internet picture as opposed to having one made by hand. A little hesitant to open because of loose pieces, but were simple to assemble and the result is a. Beautiful piece of furniture.

this is a very nice cabinet and would recommend. Take care of it and it should last forever.
Couple of things -
1) the first being that there are additional wood choices which Best Buy doesn't reflect. I went to Salamander designs website to see the options then I called Best buy to order.
2) assembly - I'm a DIY guy and enjoyed putting it together but for most I would suggest to pay to have it assembled.
some pros - Good quality / finish. The rear panels come off easy enough making it really easy to wire up or make changes. Perfect for an 80+ TV. The metal grill fronts allow not only for heat but my remotes work just fine with the doors closed.
cons - None really but lets nit pick - assembly directions are 2 pages and diagrams reflect several steps and it can get confusing. The Top has 10 holes for bolts to affix the top however the model I chose only uses 9 and they provide a plastic plug for the 10th hole. It doesn't look bad and kinda matches the top of the bolt head but at this price point - I have to give it a star ding.
