Plugged it in for the first time and my straightener got very hot and shut off. I let it cool and tried again, but it will not work. Waste of,obey plus I have to buy a new straightener.

I left mine in a hotel so I ordered another unit for my trip to Asia. Note the amount of power it can supply. I'm planning on using it with a multi-outlet adapter so that I can charge more than one portable electronic device.

I purchased this for a two week trip to Europe, hoping to use it with my heating pad. It said not to use with electronics such as computers, phones, etc. but was okay with hair dryers, irons, etc. so I thought the heating pad would be okay. It wasn't. It destroyed it within 5 minutes of me plugging it in the first day I tried it. I was then without a heating pad for the remainder of my trip. To make matters worse, Best Buy has an extremely harsh 15 day return policy. Since I was out of the country 14 days and didn't wait to buy this the day I left, I was going to be out of luck no matter what I did. When I brought it back all they would give me was store credit and even that grudgingly.
