What makes it even worse is all the garbage we had to go through to get a refund direct from Samsung. Yes you read that right. We started a repair ticket online. But every time we hit the submit button - their website crashed (useless). So... I started a chat session, was told they would arrange in home service under warranty. Got a call the next day said our ticket was canceled! Called customer svc, why was our ticket canceled - "Chat is not authorized to set up in home service". New ticket created was told someone would contact us within 48 hrs, and we would get an email with contact info. Email shows Lakes Electronics with a Gainesville FL. address Googled the address - returns a UHaul/Self Storage facility. Googled Lakes Electronics - returns a company in Pompano Beach Fl. Only 260 miles from Ocala. Called customer svc again. Told them what I had found and they had an error in their system. Again was told "someone will contact me within 48 hours". Long story short - THERE IS NO COMPANY AVAILABLE TO DO IN HOME REPAIR FOR SAMSUNG APPLIANCES IN OCALA FLORIDA. SAMSUNG GAVE US OUR MONEY BACK -- BUT ONLY AFTER REPEATED CALLS. IF YOU LIVE IN OCALA FLORIDA DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG APPLIANCE OF ANY KIND AND EXPECT TO HAVE WARRANTY REPAIR IN YOUR HOME. (OR FOR THAT MATTER ANYWHERE THAT YOU WOULD/COULD TAKE IT TO.) IF YOU CURRENTLY ARE HAVING WARRANTY PCOVERED ROBLEMS - DO NOT HESITATE!!!! CALL SAMSUNG REPEATEDLY TILL YOU GET WHAT IS RIGHT.

This was too big for my counter

Should have read the dimensions first. I did buy another Samsung microwave with the same features but smaller. So far so good with that microwave.

Broke after 1 year

It worked well ever since we bought it on Feb 19, 2017. Well today (March 1, 2018) the microwave decided that it doesn't want to work. I tried unplugging for a while then trying again, but still broke. The convention oven still works though. I guess I'll go back to my 20yr old microwave that still works.

If I had paid full price I would probably look into a return for one of the competitor models. Relatively user friendly but it’s not intuitive. Again, the competitors seemed to have it beat in that area.
