Very versatile, but construction quality lacking
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall my wife and I thought it has good functionality. BIGGEST PROBLEMS = door trim completely fell off (after 2 months) and unable to receive warranty service from Samsung. Details- The controls take some time to get used to: - No numeric keypad, dial instead - Since it can do so many functions, function must be chosen first - even if just doing quick reheat with microwave. - For microwave, it defaults to 100% power but must confirm that or wait for it to time out and accept the default. - My "quick keystrokes" for simple heating = Microwave, Ok (for 100%), then Quick 30 to start it, and add additional 30-second periods as necessary. So it is not unwieldy in terms of key presses, but is an adjustment after decades of quicker actions with other models. It seems like there is an assumption of using the auto cook features; that it is more likely to press "autocook 2 potatoes" or "cook popcorn" or "defrost chicken" and the unit will figure out the rest. And again, the extra key presses are because it can do SO MUCH- We mainly used it for microwave. Not quite as powerful as what we were using before, but decent. We have used the convection bake. Takes a while to heat up, but so does a full-size oven; therefore it is a good middle ground solution. The air fry feature worked well. Seems not as quick as dedicated air fry appliance, but also saves counter space. Same with Grill feature to brown items, including combo to microwave quick cook and then brown to finish. The "crusty plate" and 2-level racks are nice additions. DOOR TRIM PROBLEM- After using it for only 2 months, the entire front door trim fell off!! The door will not stay open without it, plus no handle to open it with anyway. It will not stick back on. When I tried to request service from Samsung, I receive a message saying that the warrant expired on 10/31/2020. That was 6 days before I even purchased the unit from BestBuy.com. It is supposed to have a 1-year warranty from purchase date. This model is still for sale on BestBuy.com, and even on Samsung.com. I remain hopeful that between BB and Samsung, they will figure out a way to replace the unit.

Flimsy handle cracked within a few months
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Flimsy handle cracked during normal use -- it may have softened after a few hours of baking at 350. Unacceptable.

Quiet, good looking, powerful, and easy clean
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nice downward opening door allows easy access for those who have issues with opening from inconvenient corners. Works good but does not cook pizza etc. built my own casement and looks great. Be sure to keep a space between casement and microwave. Well worth the money and cheaper than any other type

Not worth the Price!
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would not recommend this microwave. Not even 1 year yet and the pull down door cover is falling off. I only got this due to my previous microwave from Samsung not being available as a warranty replacement. A few things to note: inputting a microwave cook/heat time is a mission within itself. I honestly haven’t been please with the conventional oven functionality so I have used it only a handful of times. I thing heating food is not the best as it still leaves some areas unheated. I do love the size and how sleek it looks but for functionality I’d give it a 2 stars rating. The price deserves a 1 star. Look elsewhere if you would like a conventional microwave oven.

Versatile microwave/oven
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve had this oven for 2 months now and even though the learning curve was a little steep I love it! I was able to install it in a cabinet (with ample ventilation). I especially like that the door opens downward like a real oven, for easy access. It doesn’t do great for toast but the microwave grill combo delivers a juicy chicken breast in about 11 minutes. I haven’t used the slim fry option yet but I’m looking forward to using it as a second oven for holiday meal prep. The 1.1 cubic ft is the perfect size.

I'm being generous with four stars
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first countertop convection microwave oven Well on vacation the rental house had one of these and I really thought it was quite sexy The user manual is frankly useless They're really should be more YouTube videos on how to do anything. The Best buy support online is laughable nobody knows anything about this unit. But from my cursory experience I am able to roast tomatoes peppers garlic and onions in a Pyrex tray using the convection oven settings in 10 - 20 minutes making an excellent fresh tomato sauce for my pasta or whatever I don't know what any of the presettings do it would be very helpful if there was a user guide that would tell me as I mentioned earlier there is a quick guide when you open the door but it's never for what you want. So execution of the unit yeah good Follow up after producing & it putting it in a box ...really bad I could buy almost any convection microwave countertop unit at this price point so Samsung you need to do better and Best buy if you're going to carry a product you need to do better too I'm being generous with four stars

Exchange of Samsung Microwave
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought one of these Samsung microwaves back in 2018. This year the light went out in the oven and I brought it back for exchange. I had bought a two year extended warranty on the one I bought in 2018. So the one that I have now is a duplicate exchange of what I had. I had to buy another extended warranty on the new exchange. I was not too happy about buying another extended warranty since I had another year on the other microwave. I would have given it a better rating, but I was not too happy about the warranty program. I see where you have this as a purchase, but it was only an exchange plus the cost of a new warranty.

Love it but I need a cookbook with simple instruct
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far I love this. The instructions are very brief and I would love to have a receipe book. I went online and found one that is put out by samsung however it is gourmet type cooking. I am not interested in gourmet cooking. I just want some simple recipes so I can get used to using it. I already use it everyday but I would use it for more things if I knew what I was doing.

Q: QuestionWe followed the written instruction for the SlimFry feature and although we were able to adjust to the correct number for the item, when we clicked OK and went to the knob to adjust the quantity we get an option of 25r or 45r. Other features do the same
Asked by Arleen.
- A:Answer The 25r and 45r aren't actually what they seem. They represent 2SR and 4SR which stands for 2 servings or 4 servings. It then automatically adjusts the time according to the size of the meal.

Q: QuestionDoes this toast bagels?

Q: QuestionSorry but I am confused..please help. Can this microwave oven be used to bake a casserole?
Asked by Bonnie.
- A:Answer Yes there are several ways to make a casserole. Combi feature has convection and micco combined or you can micro and use the grill feature to brown the top. I recommend the combi and then the grill to finish the browning. Really all work pretty well for a small unit like this. On Thanksgiving we did the ham with combi and grill and turned out great!

Q: QuestionSamsung's website specified the depth as 9 15/16, but Best Buy website said it is 19.9 inch. who is correct?
Asked by specquestoin.
- A:Answer To answer your question, it should read 19.9" and 19"-15/16. If another viewer questions the fraction format vs decimal format, it's the same measurement as well. The fraction measurement is using 16 equal parts of an inch and this is 15 of 16. In decimal format it's .9375 when you divide 15 by 16. It's the same as saying .75 or 3/4ths. It's just 2 ways to say the same thing.

Q: QuestionHow much heat comes out off the back side against the wall?
Asked by Char.
- A:Answer I have been using mine for quite a few months now. There is some heat generated but nothing that will melt or burn a wall. I actually have a plastic Tupperware container behind mine and no issues yet. It is about 2 inches away and the microwave is about 4 to 5 inches away from backsplash.

Q: QuestionI know this is supposed to be a countertop unit. My cabinet space is 24 inch wide, 16 inch high, and 24 inch deep. There should be enough space from the top, side and back for ventilation. Do you think it is safe to put this unit in my cabinet?
Asked by Diana.
- A:Answer Hi there, Ill help with that. These are installation instructions from the user manual for this counter top Microwave: NOT FOR BUILT-IN INSTALLATION 1. When you install your oven, make sure there is adequate ventilation for your oven by leaving at least 10 cm (4 inches) of space behind and, on the sides of the oven and 20 cm (8 inches) of space above. Q: QuestionCan this be built into a cabinet? If so, is there a black stainless trim kit?
Asked by DLWEDC.
- A:Answer After reading through the Samsung manual I learned that this item should not be placed into a cabinet. It will not have proper ventilation for the unit and it could overheat and damage the device or even cause a fire.
