Big enough to fit the stupid square dishs my wife had to buy, unfortunately yes. I didn't want one too big because are kitchen isn't the biggest but it is perfect for shmeduim size kitchens. Plus, its cool as heck!

It lasted a whole 15 months!!! Good thing I purchased an extended warranty. Anyway this microwave works great. I have not used the grilling option yet. The only thing I do not like is the mirror like door. It makes it a little hard to see into the mic. Not that big of a deal. Over all 5 stars.

Besides an ordinary microwave it's also has a grilling element with a round rack and ceramic plate which allows for crispy foods and with the ceramic enamel interior makes cleaning very easy.
