Decent Sound - Could be Louder

This is on the lower end of soundbars in general so first of all I wouldn't expect great sound. Mine is in my living room which is large so the sound isn't super loud....at least as loud as I would like it. If you are putting this in a smaller room or bedroom, it would be even better. The bass is really deep and sounds good. Connecting it with bluetooth works awesome and you can really bump some music loud. I set the tv remote to change the soundbar volume so that works good, but I haven't found the setting yet to where it will only control the sound bar and not both tv volume and soundbar volume at the same time. You get echos if you have both up at the same time.

It works great & very easy to merge with CABLE REM

A common reason that the optical cord is not fitting properly is that there is a small cap on the connector end that needs to be removed. Please check for the cap.
