Bricks the entire unit and you can't cook or use the exhaust fan. Parts and service cost the exact same as the entire unit. Samsung support was very difficult to get this covered even under their own warranties. Would absolutely NOT recommend if you cook a lot underneath this unit.

After 8+ years of solid service, the display in the old one started to get progressively dimmer and harder to see - but it was otherwise still functioning well. Repairing it with a new display board, was unfortunately going to be more expensive than replacing it. These work well, and the sensor function is nice. There is no physical sensor probe, like the old types used to measure internal temperature.

Hopefully the repair guy will be able fix it this week, last week he needed to order a part for it. Thankfully we aren’t living in the house just yet and can do without a microwave but major disappointment after spending so much money on appliances and have it not work.

The microwave looks really nice and seems too work fine. I give it a thumbs up!
