The rack is great for heating items like potatos, and the turntable is about as large as they come. I have put this microwavr through heavy use so far, and its only sign of wear and tear so far is the occasional food explosion mess I create. The microwave is about 8 inches longer externally than actual cooking space, but inside the door is conveniently placed a cooking guide for a variety of presets that work quite well (give or take 30 seconds). The vent is powerful, too!

This microwave is more room and just as much power as we had before. Looks great. One downside: we greatly miss being able to cook something while the timer was running, which our old microwave did. With the Samsung you have to turn off the timer to use the microwave function. Big bummer for us, we didn't realize how much we relied on that dual capability.
