Turns out that Kitchen-aid was not so good. I now Know what a good dishwasher is like. Dishes come out clean. They are cleaner now after a couple of washes than when they come out of the old washer. So we put all of the dishes through before using them and what a difference.

I didn't need to replace my first one but I had purchased a new stove and decided to replace all of the kitchen appliances so they are the same age. I only wanted a new one because I loved the 3rd row and have always thought that would be more efficient for my household and it is! I love it. I also love that it opens once done, that really dries my dishes off faster and makes putting everything away easier.

The installation process was easy and he was very knowledgeable and did a great job of installing the equipment.

Cons: Requires a complex series of buttons and commands just to set a cycle, and does not retain previous settings so you have to do it EVERY WASH. Also; the door drops open 4 minutes at the end of a wash to "complete the drying cycle". Huh? Spend a little more and get a more straightforward unit.

The dishwasher also has the Auto Release™ Dry feature, which helps with the drying process which automatically opens the door 1-15 minutes before the cycle ends. It greatly improves the drying capability of the dishwasher.

I had to threaten to get an attorney before Samsung would finally send a repair person because it's still under warranty. I felt like I was going thru an interrogation to get the work done. It finally works, but they adjusted the leveling and now it's off. I love that it's very quiet.

It does a really good job at washing dishes, no food or anything left on them when the cycle is over. It has the speed dry on it where it will automatically pop the door open near the end of the drying cycle so the dishes dry faster (that too a little getting used to). it doesnt open all the way, it just cracks itself open about 2-3"
