This is the best dishwasher I have ever owned. Its almost silent

Bought this dishwasher 10 months ago because the brand I originally wanted wasn't available and this model had the features I wanted at a comparable price and the beauty of being in stock. After 8 months of light use it stopped working. The warranty repair crew has been responsive and polite, but after 3 visits, replacing major components each time (pump, motor, door), it's still not working, with a 4th visit scheduled. At some point I expect they will replace the dishwasher (although they have replaced virtually everything except the tub and the racks by now). I hope my situation is an exception, but having owned other brands in other houses that have lasted 15+ years, I'm not optimistic about the longevity of this model given the experience I had after 9 months of light use.

This is one of the quietest dishwashers I have purchased. It does a very good job of cleaning dishes on all racks including the top 3rd rack. I am very happy with this purchase.

Only used the dishwasher 5 times. 1 wash the dishes were dirty. 1 wash the dishwasher leaked all over the kitchen floor. Every wash the dishes were wet. We didnt know it didnt have an internal dryer. It does more of like an air dry but they dont really dry. Props for being extremely quiet and working with the app.

Very quiet can barely tell that it is running. Great so far.

I bought this expensive and quiet model on Dec 2020 for $1k, for years of good service. I knew Samsung wasn’t famous for reliability or ease of repair, but I took a leap of faith anyway. It worked fine (not as clean as we like but it’s okay) until Oct 2023, for 2 years and 10 months. The linear wash component (motor and timing belt that shoots out water at the bottom and redirect it up) broke and won’t move again, resulting in loud noise and unclean dishes. Since it’s only 1 year warranty, finding repair is cost prohibitive. The part is very expensive (linear motor is $300!) I’ve already spent hundreds of dollars on labor and parts and it’s still not fixed. I expect at least 5+ years of service before a major repair, in less than 3 years a major breakdown isn’t acceptable. I don’t recommend this dishwasher or any Samsung dishwasher, unless you are willing to bite your own bullet when it breaks down!

Stay away if don't want to shop for a new dishwasher in 2 years, google it "waterwall not working samsung dishwasher". I have replaced the bottom waterwall motor the seal, the sensor and the magnet, nothing helps, this waterwall lives on it own, running non stop banging of the stopper until motor burns down, google it, it's a lot of us out there who made bad decision by buying this dishwasher, and now on the lookout for a new one (not samsung), so go shop for something else if you want to spend your money wisely.

BEWARE Samsung dishwashers. Mine leaks like a sieve after just 3 years. 6 months in I'd have rated it 5 star. Then the leaks started. First, water flowed out onto my new flooring but the machine did not stop. Later, the LS warning would flash and stop the machine. To restart required pulling the machine out from under the cabinet -- which we've done twice. Most recently, I noticed that the insulation in the door is saturated (water wicked up, I believe). All this in a household that only runs about four loads of dishes per week and rinses everything first. Also, service is poor. Calls to the 1-800 number get you another 1-800 number to the vendor that was hired to do the installation (and they don't honor the SS warranty). If you can't fix the issue yourself, the alternative is costly. My third issue (admittedly a pet peeve of mine) is that this dishwasher and also the Samsung fridge we purchased at the same time, is programmed to link up with your home wifi network even if you are old school enough to want it to do one job: wash dishes. Makes one wonder what spyware could be activating. Today I'm removing it and buying another brand.

If you scroll far back enough in the reviews, chances are you'll come across my glowing praise for this product. Quiet. Efficient. This was my favorite product of my Samsung suite of appliances. Fast forward to more than two years down the road, and it's been awful. It started leaving a film on everything, prompting numerous calls to/visits from Geek Squad for repairs. Each time it was "fixed", so they never had to admit that the unit was a lemon and needed replacing. I've made due by running an additional rinse cycle afterwards, because who needs that previously mentioned efficiency, anyway? So today I start up the dishwasher to discover a new problem - it's not filling at all. Lo and behold, my service plan with Best Buy quietly expired a few months ago, so they're now completely off the hook for any issues that arise. I never want to purchase Samsung again (my refrigerator has been a joy, too), and I'll never be buying appliances from Best Buy.

the dishwasher looks great, and we were really excited to get it installed and start using all the new features. It is currently leaking and we are waiting for best buy to respond about getting someone out to fix it.

Super quiet, nice looking. The express cycle doesn't get dishes fully clean

Purchased 12/14/20 to replace a very loud, old Kenmore unit. Installed 12/17/20. Dishwasher ran test rinse fine, but could not complete a wash cycle and was nonresponsive despite still having power. Best Buy sent a second team out to inspect it 12/29/20 who ruled it defective. A third service call on 1/6/21 got a replacement installed which does exactly the same thing. Samsung is sending a tech to inspect it and hopefully repair it 1/11/21. This is a bad dishwasher insofar as it doesn't work for longer than half an hour before breaking completely. It is VERY quiet and looks nice but is not capable of washing dishes. The Samsung support forums currently have a 53 page thread on this problem, started in 2017 and still getting complaints in late 2020, which seems to affect much of their dishwasher lineup and I wish I had seen that before purchasing this. Do not buy this or any other Samsung dishwasher.

Purchased 8-13-21 for $900. It is very quiet but that is the only good thing about it. Now the soap dispenser door won't open and the appliance tech just left - cost to replace is $499. He said if it was his, he would just purchase something else. He replaces a lot of motors and they are also expensive.

For the price I expected better cleaning, I have to wash my dishes before putting them in the dishwasher, that's defeats the purpose of having a dishwasher.

Do not buy this dishwasher! I purchased this along with the Refrigerator from the same line. The product started leaking a month after I received it. Called to get it fixed. They fixed it and a few months later, same issue. A year later, Samsung refuses to fix it and says it's "physical damage" from when it was delivered and installed. This is by far the worst experience I've had with any appliance. Their refrigerator isn't any better. Multiple issues with that one as well. For spending so much money on these products, you'd think they'd actually work, right? Samsung blames Best Buy, Best Buy won't take responsibility and I'm out a working dishwasher.

Nothing against best buy, this is specific to samsung appliances. We have purchased a washer, dryer, fridge, and this dishwasher. We have had so many issues with the dishwasher and fridge. Best buy has been good to come take a look since we have total tech membership but once yiu are outside that 1 year warrenty, Samsung doesnt care. They refuse to acknowledge these product issues even there are tons of people having the same issues and posting online. They want to charge to have a tech cone and fix it. Save yourself the frustration and dont buy their over-priced, poor quality appliances.

I have had great results from my samsung products and i really enjoy the the fingerprint resistant finish they put on their products.

The middle washer arm keeps falling off due to inferior design. Trying to get Samsun to acknowledge this is like pulling teeth. Go with Bosch instead.
