The DIshwasher is nice looking, if you read through the comments one thing I should have taken notice of is it does not have a drying element inside. It can be difficult to load due to the way the rungs are aligned. It is very quiet. It did not include the usual attached brackets so that you can affix it to cabinetry or the counter top. I purchased two different kits to adhere it to the granite. It doesn't have the brackets you would use these kits with to affix it so it does not fall forward when the door/drawers are pulled forward. I haven't found time to go to Best Buy to see if this was something left in the box or something Samsung does not include. Remember, delivery DOES NOT include set up or hook up. If you have water, gas lines for appliances. I would suggest in the heat of replacing all your appliances to pay for installation which is negligible when you consider the cost of purchasing it as a four pc appliance suite. As the old ones were being taken to the garage or removed.. they will not wait and you're left to hook up lines, position and level your new purchase. The guys were nice, though were on a schedule. I take the blame for not having looked into the difference. I have a house full of Samsung electronics and love them. It might have been too soon to purchase appliances. I went for look, price and Samsung quality. "Lifes Good" seems appealing after two months with Samsung Appliances.

Super quiet and that's why I got this one. Be careful if you have tight spaces. The handle sticks out so I can't open a drawer next to it all the way (my design issue, not a problem with the dishwasher). Cleans pretty well with only couple dishes not getting totally clean so far. I'm still trying to figure out the rack configuration since it's totally different from my last machine. Can't seem to fit a lot of bowls very well but fits tons of plates.

Dishwasher is sleek and super functional. Cleans far superior to our old dishwasher and is so incredibly quiet. We can watch tv in our family room that is connected to our kitchen while it is running without it disturbing us. The stainless exterior does not get fingerprint marks easily, but when it does they clean off without a problem. The bottom holds an entire set of dinner, lunch and dessert plates with room to spare. The top rack could be a bit larger for me and the spacing of prongs is odd, but it works. Love the utensil compartment lids with holes for silverware so they don't fall through. The biggest downfall is how well it dries or doesn't dry. You pretty much have to use rinse aid to help with that and even still the top rack doesn't get completely dry. Also, it's seals shut so well that any odor trapped inside from stuck- on food can permeate the interior, but it's not been a problem so far where the odor doesn't go away once you run a cycle. Overall very pleased with this purchase so far. We've had it for about 1 month.

I was in the market for a new dish washer because our old 12 year old unit stopped working. I chose Samsung not only for the name recognition, but also how quiet their units are. We have one at the office and it's very hard to hear when it is operating. The new unit I installed in my house didn't disappoint. It is very quiet, easy to operate and dishes sparkle.

WOW! What else can I say. When I first ran this Dishwasher I had to stand right next to it and bend down to make sure it was running. It is super quiet. 99.9% of every dish that I put in with little to no pre-soak or scrub comes out 100% clean. This is just more than I was expecting and a VERY nice surprise. The drying is done by heating the rinse water above 160 DegF and then using a fan to pull the evaporated water out. Works great, there may be a spoon or a cup upside down but other than that dishes are dry. I have had this dishwasher for about 11 months and would not hesitate to recommend it to friends and family in fact I have. If your in need of a Dishwasher I would strongly suggest this one. There may be others out there that do as good but none that do better. One note it was on a review but I agree that before you start the dishwasher run your sinks hot water to make sure it is hot that way you are assured of washing with good hot water.

We selected this dishwasher because it was on a great sale and had all of the features we wanted. When I went to pay for it, the service rep said that they had an "open box" available of this exact dishwasher. He asked if we'd like to look at it. It only had a small blemish on the door so we decided to take it. BestBuy uses a third-party installer. On two separate occasions when we were scheduled for installation, I received a call from the installing company telling me that they refused to deliver or install it due to some problems they had found in the drainage hose of the dishwasher. BestBuy was great in their response. After having fixed the hose, the installers still refused to bring it because of the ding on the front door that we had already approved. BestBuy replaced it with a brand new dishwasher rather than have us experience any more hassel with getting it installed. That spoke volumes to me about their customer service. When it was installed, there were some issues with the installer in getting it to work right. The installer told me to return it. I didn't. I simply read the instructions and got it to work properly. Now that I got it to work right, it is a wonderful machine that I would rate as 5-star. I only rated it lower because of the issues I had with the installers that they contract with.

Quite, efficient and reasonably priced, I saw saw this same dishwasher for $200.00 more at Home Depot. But I found it on Best Buy's website for less, although I am happy with the dishwasher. The contractors Best Buy uses for their appliance installs are terrible and unprofessional, I wish best buy had in house installers. My dishwasher was installed unevenly and I had to help the installers put it in (really?), I have not called best buy out to correct the issue because I don't want to deal with the same contractors.

Reading reviews of this was mixed but here is the skinny. Extremely quiet, tight bars to hold dishes and a lot of room, washes very well. Light only stays on for a few minutes when done then off but whoopeedoo, don't care. If you use sanitize option, runs longer but I feel dries pretty well. I use eco friendly rinse aid every time, when it's all done all my glass is dry period. My plastic still lil wet but I am used to propping door open for a bit then putting away so it is no worries for me! In 2 months, I love this dishwasher!

    THE Worst Dishwasher Ever

Samsung has really lowered the bar in dishwasher performance expectancy. I purchased this for my condo, as a recently satisfied Samsung customer (55" 3D smart tv), and had it installed by a professional. It seems like I have had many issues with it already, and wrote a letter to BB: "I have purchased a Samsung 2434 Dishwasher from Best Buy in July, 2014. The machine performs poorly, leaves behind soap residue, and generally doesn't clean pots and pans, even on the required settings. Please advise if I am able to return, exchange (my preferred option), and whom I need to contact regarding doing so. I am very unsatisfied with the performance. I am a light user, so the machine is used sparingly, but nonetheless it has not been cleaning my dishes well." BB only contacted me to let me know it's beyond 30 days and that I'd have to contact the manufacturer. To be fair - I have not done this, but will be doing so, after this post. Since that time the machine performance has only gotten worse - now I have dishes that are wet and the drain doesn't work. You think clogged - nope. You think I overstack - nope, I am the only user, I don't cook, and I am an avoid rinser - I rinse everything before it even goes into the machine. I wouldn't recommend this Dishwasher for anything - go with a brand name that you know makes quality KITCHEN products. I wish I did. Pros: Deep top-to-bottom. Quiet. Cons: VERY long cycles. Doesn't rinse properly. Doesn't wash properly. Doesn't heat properly. Doesn't drain properly. The racks are useless if you have bowls (versus saucers) and use pots. If you have bowls and pots - they won't sit those well on the racks, which are uncommodating (the one that does accommodate is loose and falls down) and doesn't rinse them well if put in on the sides. Putting them flat, with top towards floor you take the chance of getting in the way of the water flow. I regularly have dirty dishes. I use glassware a lot - crystal, regular, etc. - the glasses regularly come out with a grainy coat (I use either Cascade liquid soap, Clorox brand, or Finish - so it's not cheap stuff, and a rinse aid from various companies) or with some food particles (though that was a handful of times, because of the maximized rinsing prior to wash). Overall - I wish I could return. I wouldn't have noticed in thirty days' time that the machine is sloppy because I had just moved in and don't use the machine a lot. I also didn't even have enough pots and glassware to fill to use 'regularly.' Stay away from this thing.

This dishwasher is awesome!!! As I mentioned above the machine is so quiet there are times you can't even tell it's on. It has done a great job cleaning anything we put in there...dishes, pots, pans, baking sheets, even dried up crusted egg yolk (hey, it happens). The glassware is always sparkling and the other items come out super clean. Everything is spot free. We use the Cascade complete packets and always have plenty of rinsing/drying agent in the dispenser. So far so good! I almost forgot to mention the adjustable rack feature...again, AWESOME! In past dishwashers let's face it, there were items that simply would not fit. This has not been the case here. Large stock pots, baking sheets and serving trays fit with ease! This was a huge selling feature for me and turned out to be just as advertised. Switching the rack is incredibly simple to do and we have used the feature numerous times. It's one of those features you don't realize how important it is until you have the option! I have to admit however that sometimes several items don't end up completely dry. I find that plastic cups and Tupperware items tend to have some residual moisture on them, however glass, ceramic, and metals come out perfectly dry. Please know that the moisture is extremely minimal, you won't be dumping out cupfuls of water but you may find droplets clinging on various items. For us this is no big deal because we have a dish towel handy, it's an easy fix. One quick pass and viola! For this I gave it an overall 4 out of 5 star rating. But believe me...it is very minor and 90% of your items will be completely dry every time. 99% would have warranted a 5 star rating and it's the only reason I gave 4. I would give a 4.8 if it were possible! All in all, it's a beautiful sleek looking machine pleasing to the eyes. It is equally pleasing to the ears (really...is this thing on?) and most importantly, IT CLEANS THE DISHES! I would definitely recommend it to a friend and anyone!!!

The first unit I received only ran through one cycle before it displayed an error and stopped working. The Geek Squad came out a week later and fixed it. It worked a few more times before it displayed the same error and stopped working again. Called Best Buy and they replaced the entire unit. New one is working great. It is quite and cleans the dishes really well.

This dishwasher is quiet and cleans food well. I don't really like the space options for the cups on the top rack- my glasses often fall over because of their wide shape. I also don't love that it has to snap into or out of place every time you open it, but that is probably just something I will need to get used to.

This dishwasher replaced a 25 year old dishwasher that sounded like a jet plane taking off. And it didn't clean the dishes well. This one is quiet and cleans like a dishwasher should. You have to use the jet dry to get the dishes clean.

Purchase this unit at sale price of $499.00, includes free delivery and $49 installation fee. Installer removed and recycled the old unit. Very impressed with build quality, stainless steel tub and features. Able to hold a good quantity of dishes. Was hesitant about purchasing after reading some of the negative reviews regarding wet dishes and drying performance. Haven't had any of those issues. It is strongly recommended to use a good quality rinse aid and the sanitize feature if you want bone dry dishes. Progress lights on out side of unit are a nice feature. This unit is QUIET. I highly would recommend .

Have had this dishwasher about 2 weeks now. As a whole, I really like this unit. Only issue so far is the noise it makes when first starting up. Lasts about 30 seconds then runs rather quietly through the cycles. Like many of the other reviews, this unit does not do the best job drying the dishes (pretty good though), not a big deal and they do come out clean. Replaced and old Whirlpool that was very loud plus wanted to go stainless. TIP: Electric & water hook ups are in the front of this unit (covered by face plate so they don't show) rather than the back so need to make sure that you have long enough water supply line & electric. Not a big deal but my previous dishwashers all hooked up in the back.
