The DW is attractive and extremely quiet but is a bit complicated to load. I guess this will improve as i get used to it. I am concerned by a "newness smell" that hasnt yet gone away after 10 washes. Any ideas?

So far, so good. Had this installed for about a week now. I like the stainless interior and the simple controls. It cleans well. My only complaint is a slight high pitch sound during the dry cycle. It's not terrible, but was unexpected. I'd still recommend it. I only notice it if the house is quiet.

We bought this as a replacement for our old one and this works great. This dishwasher has a lot of options and cleans the dishes well. Although, it kind of takes a while to finish working. It takes 1 hour at least to finish washing the dishes and at times the dryer would not dry it completely.

Looks good in the kitchen, matches the other Samsung appliances. Works very well so far, even on the short cycle. Very quiet. And the soft tough controls are not a problem as long as you leave the power off. For the money, it's very good.

Best thing about this dishwasher is the third rack on top for sharp knives and misc. flat objects. I love not cutting myself or poking myself with sharp knife tips when unloading this quiet dishwasher

The dishwasher works perfect does what it’s supposed to do and easy to use. For the price point it has great features, again this is a dishwasher so it doesn’t need to have all the bells and whistle‘s for me to wash my dishes.

I had to bend down next to it to make sure it was working the first time I used it. It is so much quieter than my old Frigidaire that finally stopped working last week, and holds much more than any other dishwasher I have owned.

I love everything about this dishwasher except one thing. I think I have seen complaints about it in other reviews also, the buttons are very touchy. Our cabinets with cups are above the dishwasher so every time someone grabs a cup, if they graze against the dishwasher, it Powers on. If the dishwasher is already on and performing a cycle, there is a feature to lock the buttons which is great!!! But it doesn’t stop anyone from powering it on when it’s not in use, and by “powering on” I mean just powering it on, most times someone doesn’t bump the buttons enough to make it actually start a cycle. But it cleans my dishes great!

Pros: Lots of room inside, and many options for placement of dishes, silverware, etc.. Very quiet. Cons: The 90° elbow required for installation should have been included, considering it's a $0.90 item, and could have saved me a half hour round-trip to the store.

We finally received the missing kickplate that I had complained about not having in an earlier review. I'm completely happy now. Samsung said it'd send it. It FINALLY did. It took a while, too long; but, all's well now. The dishwasher is terrific! The 3rd shelf--upper for long utensils--is really useful. There're a lot more spaces for dishes in the lowest compartment. The utensil basket is much better because now we can put knives point-down in it and no longer have fear of stabbing ourselves inadvertently due to an upright point. It has a delayed start timer which permits taking advantage of lowest electricity rates. It cleans, too!

Some reviewers said the water spraying arm is too close to the bottom rack and that almost deterred me from buying this. I'm glad I did buy it though. It's true, when it was first installed, it was too low and I was pretty worried about the fact that nothing taller than a dinner plate could go in there. But I figured out how to raise the second rack easily and this dishwasher is awesome! A lot of people complained also that it's too easy to bump the front panel and push buttons accidentally. That's another operator error. The controls can be locked so that doesn't happen. All in all, I have zero complaints! Works great, runs quiet, looks nice, what more could you want

Great looking appliance! Runs super quiet. The buttons on the front panel are a bit sensitive when working on the counter any slight touch activates then. Very happy with the purchase.

this dishwasher works great, however the cycle takes forever. There is an option to drain and end the cycle while it is in dry, but the dishes will remain soaked for days if not removed and dried off.

This machine is very sleek. The buttons are sensitive so all you have to do I lightly touch them. It runs very smoothly and barely makes noise, just a light hum. It cleans like a beast!!! So glad I got it!

Looks great and works well. I got this model for the 3rd rack, but the silverware gets cleaner when you load them in the caddy the normal way.

Previously had a middle grade GE Dishwasher that broke. Bought this Samsung for a cheaper stainless steel front. We thought we would like the 3rd rack for silverware etc. We have been disappointed with this dishwasher because: 1 - Top rack difficult to pull out. 2 - Door opens but will not stay flat without bottom rack being on it (GE just opened and stayed down). 3 - This has a plastic tub and it had a very unique odor when installed and then when we run it - it smells like burning circuit board. 4 - We have found the tine position/layout of the top and bottom racks not as conducive to our dishes as the GE. 5 - As others have mentioned the controls are sensitive and turn on when we do not intend them to. 6 - when shutting the door and the top rack is pulled out, the default position of the rack catches on the in door soap dispenser and so I have to reopen the door and manually shut the rack. It's just those little things that add up to a bad experience. On the plus side - it was inexpensive, we like the quick 60min wash, the stainless front cleans easier than the GE. It is a little noisier than the GE - but not too loud. For those who are looking for a new dishwasher, skip the 3rd rack, pay very close attention to your current dishwasher rack layout so that your new one is what you want.
