Customers are satisfied with the 24" Tall Tub Built-In Dishwasher's quiet operation and cleaning performance, frequently praising its ease of use and larger capacity compared to older models. However, some users expressed concerns regarding the dishwasher's rack design and reported instances of reliability issues. Have had this since 2012 but have had one problem

When we first got this dishwasher we were amazed how quiet it was but it did take a long time to wash the dishes, an hour or more. We now prefer the Heavy cycle on all washes. At the almost 5 year mark it broke down giving us a two light signal: Heavy and Smart Auto blinking, indicating Over level water error. Since we had a 5 year extended warranty we called Best Buy and they sent somebody out. At first he replace the fill sensor mechanism on the side of the dishwasher, but no luck, still got the error. Then he sent me a new circuit board that I installed in order to speed up the process. Still no luck. Then he discovered the a black hose on the bottom of the dishwasher had clogged with residue and wan’t allowing free flow of water. All he did was dump out the clogged hose and it was fixed. This hose is under the bottom plate when you turn the dishwasher on its side. It is the most propionate hose of the two there. Just disconnect it and dump it out, very quick fix. Now fast forward to 2020, same thing happened, same error code. Since he showed me the problem I now knew what to look for, pulled the dishwasher out, turned it on its side, took off the bottom plastic panel, disconnected the hose, dumped out the contents stuck in the hose, put it all back together and it is now fixed just as before. I did notice a little grease leakage on the bottom panel I pulled of so I’m crossing my fingers that the pump doesn’t go out. So far it had been a pretty good dishwasher. When you put dishes in make sure you close the door if they sit their for a few days. The dishes wash better if they don’t dry out too much. Also, as I said before, if you want a really good wash job on all your dishes use the heavy cycle every time. Not a bad dishwasher for 8 years old. Hope I can get at least 10 years out of it. We have the DW7933 series.

Was great for a year...and then...

I have enjoyed my Samsung for just over one year. In fact. one year and five (5) days. Then, I woke up one morning and the front panel showed a flashing light. Using the troubleshooting guide in the owner's manual, I noted this was an error code for a leak. I called Samsung, and they confirmed. I did not buy the extended warranty, so there was nothing Samsung could do since the manufacturer's one year parts and labor had expired. so, I called for service. When the tech came out he cringed. He said this is one of the worst manufacturers of dishwashers. He is not only getting a lot of service calls, but repeat calls. When he's fixed one part, the machine works for a time and then something else goes. After doing due diligence, to be sure it wasn't something easier to fix, he gave me an estimate for a minimum of $350 to repair with a possibility of $450. The dishwasher originally cost us around this amount! Needless to say, I declined service. I will be buying a different model.

I am surprised about some of the negative reviews on here about this dishwasher. It's quiet, cleans well, and dry's well. What more could you ask for. I bought this dishwasher open box and got an awesome deal. After using it for a while I would have paid full retail. Completely satisfied and would highly recommend this model.

looked for a while to find a stainless tub dishwasher that wasnt outrageous in price. This one fit the bill & i like samsung everything else. I was experiencing some funky smells at first but some vinegar & cleaner fixed this. My biggest issue with this is the silverware baskets!!!! unless you have silverware stems that are close to an inch wide, they will slip through the gigantic holes on the sides & prevent you from sliding the racks in and out without getting in there & removing the entire wet rack. I would have seriously considered a different unit had i known this previously.

My previous dishwasher broke after 4 yrs. I didn't want to buy the same brand, after researching, I found this. It had good reviews. You have to use rinse aid as you do w/ 95% of dishwashers. It cleans well and dries well. There is some moister in the bottom of the dishwasher after it dries, but I think all my other ones had it too. Simple to operate. Now I want to get their fridge and stove too. It is quiet also. Highly recommend!

If you ->follow the instructions<- in the manual, you will LOVE this DW! Quality materials, simple design, adjustable rack and tines, leak guard feature. LOVE the smart button-washes as short or long as it needs. Love that it is quiet-does not interfere w/TV; and that the heating element is hidden/no melted plastics; and the cycle chime is soft. As per instructions: Use ONLY 1T quality powder detergent, hot water at least 120 (as with all DW). For perfect drying, use rinse aid and the sanitize feature, the interior fan is great. We run DW about every other day. Barely rinse and skip altogether if washing immediately.

We are very happy with both the dishwasher and the installation. It runs so quiet you hardly know it's running. The dishes are clean the first time.

I should have known better than to buy another Samsung product but I thought the fridge was just a fluke. Well, I was disappointed again. This is the second Samsung appliance I have purchased from Best Buy and within in minutes of its first use, I have water leaking all over the kitchen floor. It appears the door does not properly seal. I watched the delivery team unload and haul the dishwasher into the kitchen, we checked it for damage, and I installed it. Unfortunately this is the kind of leak that only rears its ugly head after all of the work is done. Could I wait for a Samsung repairman to come out and fix it? Maybe, if I want to wait 2 weeks I might do that. No matter what, I have to wait at least three days to have another delivered and the defective machine to be taken back. Then we get to do it all over again. I will never buy another Samsung appliance again. It is not worth the hassle.I am sure we all have better things to do with our time than deal with defective products.

This dishwasher does not clean as it should.... and not even having it for a year, it died on us.. Now have an error code and it is taking Samsung so long to do anything about it... called several times and finally got a transaction number. The company that is to come and fix it ordered all parts but one is on backorder.. I have been without a dishwasher for 2 weeks now and it smells to high heaven if you open it... DO NOT BUY!! YOu will regret it, as this apparently is a common problem with this dishwasher...

Very Happy with my Samsung

I'm very happy with this Samsung D/W. Build quality is excellent.
as are the racks and slides. Very quiet, you do not hear it
running. A heated dry cycle would be nice, but I believe US Energy
Star ratings limit all the makers on Power consumption and water
useage.
The tines on the bottom rack are spaced closely (1 inch)
and this makes loading some designer dishes and bowls difficult.
You must skip every other slot when loading or they do not all
clean well.
The top rack is very well thought out with staggered depth.
Everything fits and cleans well on top. The quick wash cycle is
one hour long.
Overall a Very Good washer, I recommend it and would buy another.
Register your warranty on Samsung.com and get 3 months add'l
coverage added to the 12 month basic.

I am disappointed with this Samsung dishwasher. Not enough to return it but I'm not very happy. I have to wash all dishes by hand before loading or they don't get clean. However this is my habit anyway so it's not a huge inconvenience to me. Dishes usually are still wet or somewhat wet at the end of the cycle. I've tried using the rinse agent stuff as recommended but it doesn't seem to make a lot of difference. It should be noted the government has imposed energy consumption requirements on manufacturers - perhaps that is part of the reason for this fairly poor performance. It is however very quiet, you can barely hear it running. I wish I had bought something else but I'm stuck with this for a few years now.

The product is okay. I like that it is virtually silent, however it does not dry the dishes and runs too long. It also turns on if you lean against it.

Bought this dishwasher as a Christmas gift for my parents. They have had it for less than 7 months and the buttons no longer light up to indicate that the machine is on or what stage of the wash cycle it is currently in. Observe that other reviewers of this model have experienced the same issue. Very disappointed in the quality control of this model and expect much better from Samsung. DO NOT BUY.

Matches all the other appliances in kitchen. Love the stainless steel inside of dishwasher. Only drawback, you have to use a drying agent, or it will have water all over the inside, when done. My old one did not have that problem. It work great if done properly though. Very quiet.

Bad Dishwasher - stay away

I bought this dishwasher (samsung DW 7933) 2 years before after returning a same dishwasher from best buy 6 months prior. My earlier dishwasher (samsung) stopped draining water and it was in warranty so best buy guys came few times but could not fix so they gave me this new one. After 2 years this one is leaking water and stopped working due to some leakage error. When I called a mechanic, he gave me an estimate of $300 to replace the draining pump. It appears that samsung dishwashers are built with BAD draining pump. I am never going close to samsung dishwashers. Highly advise NOT to buy this dishwasher or you will regret in less than 2-3 years or much sooner..

Our contractor-grade GE dishwasher stopped cleaning so we went shopping for a new one. BestBuy had a great price on this, and I had always trusted Samsung as a brand. I should have read the reviews more carefully. I was also impressed by the adjustability of the racks.
Installation was very easy. I liked that the water inlet connection was in the front-bottom of the machine. I hooked it up and turned it on, and was disappointed.
The machine just plain and simple didn't wash well. Dishes stayed dirty. The soap dispenser didn't open every time. I read about how it's probably the customer's fault for poorly loading the bottom rack, but that's a face-saving way of saying that their engineers did a poor job designing this.
The dishes never dried. They were always wet...just wet. I tried the Sanitize cycle as recommended, with only a handful of dishes inside, and they still did not try. Any dishwasher that requires that much thought is clearly a poor product. A huge Samsung mistake.
The tines are not well placed or spaced for a typical American household that uses larger plates, soup plates, bowls...it just was not easy to load.
Overall, I regret buying this and will be exchanging it today. I gave it a good five-day try.

I used to have a different brand dishwasher, which I hated from day one.
This model is well built, the outer insulation is not that cheap Styrofoam like my old one had, the interior is stainless steal, the baskets have aluminum covers, not that cheap soft vinyl. It is very easy to use, you don't even need the manual to figure out which cycle is best. There is control light when the rinse agent gets low, which my old one did not have either. It runs nice and quiet. I have an open kitchen to living room floor plan, and my old one made it impossible to watch TV while the machine was running without turning the volume way up. You hardly hear this one. When it is done it beeps once and turns off by itself after 10 minutes. I am happy with my choice buying a Samsung.

We should never have bought this dishwasher without taking our dishes and seeing if they fit. The lower rack has three OFFSET ranks of tines that made it impossible for us to fit our dishes.
The dishwasher does not clean very well... we made do with making sure to use the heavy wash setting and the sanitize option to eliminate some of the water. All in all, not very happy and we returned this dishwasher.
