I own several Samsung electronics and consider them to be a premium brand. I read some initial reviews of most were positive. Since I had never owned a Samsung appliance, I figured this would be a good entry point. I purchased this device. Post purchasing the device, it worked acceptably for the first 7-9 months. Not saying it was consistent in cleaning dishes or that it did an "awesome" job of that... but for light work, it was acceptable. Two weeks before the warranty ran out, it quit working all together throwing an error. It took me 2 weeks to get a copy of my receipt and call Samsung. Luckily, they agreed to fix it. Was able to get a repair guy out to my house after a month. That guy diagnosed a problem, and informed me that he'd get the parts ordered. 2 months later, I contact the repair company and Samsung, and apparently somebody dropped the ball. Samsung agreed to send a new repair company out, but they on the initial work order, they failed to provide the paperwork that indicated they were picking up the tab. After a few additional calls to Samsung, I had them get the repair company on a conference call with me... and it all got sorted out. The new repair company came out, and the technician had the part on his truck. He repaired the unit. The unit returned to it's normal (acceptable) working state for 3 weeks... and then started throwing the error again. Samsung only gave me a one-time agreement to fix this unit and thus I doubt they'll send another repairman out this time. I will NOT have this unit repaired, but instead will purchase a competitor product with a much longer history in the appliance business. Samsung Appliance has lost a customer for life. Glad I only had the one product. I was on the phone with Samsung to get this unit fixed for over 9 hours. NEVER AGAIN! Pros: * The device IS quiet. * The device was relatively easy to self-install. * The device is very nice looking. Cons: * This device doesn't do a great job of cleaning dishes. * This device has broken on me twice. * Dealing with Samsung support for appliance repair was far less than stellar. *Caveat Emptor* Final comments, if you do plan on purchasing a Samsung appliance, I would STRONGLY recommend purchasing the GeekSquad extended warranty. Chances are you will need it!

It has been about a month since this washer was installed and I love it! First, it is so quiet and the stainless finish is a nice upgrade for my kitchen. The first time I ran it I didn't have any JetDry so I really got to see the difference in the results. Translation...DON'T RUN OUT OF DRYING AGENT! LOL The owners manual makes a point of this one thing and they mean it. My stemware comes out spot free. At first I was worried that my plates wouldn't be clean because of how close together they are but this hasn't been a problem. Everything is very clean. Again, read the owners manual about how to load your dishes and you will get great results. The stainless steel interior is something that also has to be cleaned once a month. I use Cascade Platinum because it has the cleaning product added into the dishwashing soap. The results have been great and saves a step, not to mention water.

After suffering for 3 years with this washer a salesman at HD tells me that it must be connected to the hot water. I go home and check and sure enough the BB installers connected it to the cold water.

The top rake cleans fine, if I leave my dishes sit for a day they do not get clean. I also have to open the door soon after it is done otherwise the dishes mold - So I have to basically wash them before I put them in. Would not buy.

This dishwasher did not clean or dry the dishes after a wash. There was no heating element built in. We expected much more from this dishwasher and were disappointed. Ended up returning it for a different brand.

I should've read reviews before I purchased this dishwasher. It was the biggest headache I've ever had in purchasing an appliance. It leaked right from the beginning and wouldn't run a full cycle.

    Stopped working at 7 months

We are SO disappointed with this dishwasher. We bought it for our new house, loving the stainless steel and the fact that it was made by Samsung, a reputable company. It worked very well for the first 7 months, is spacious, and the stainless steel interior is easy to clean. We have now had the dishwasher for 11 months. At month 7, it just stopped working well. We have to run the dishwasher 3-5 times in order for a whole cycle to go through. We have tried running it on every setting possible, and nothing changes; we still have to run it 3-5 times. A light blinks telling us that there is a drainage issue, when this was checked out, and there is not one. Upon checking that problem, our dishwasher suddenly started blinking another light saying that there was water sensed and it needed to drain. The dishwasher did not turn off for 3 hours, so we turned off the circuit breaker instead. When we paid a pretty penny for a kitchen appliance, we expected to receive a quality product. However, we did not. Upon calling Geek Squad, the customer service representative stated, "Oh... a Samsung. Sorry if it seems like I'm laughing, but that's your problem. Most of the dishwasher calls we get are about those dishwashers. Never buy a Samsung dishwasher." I would highly recommend a different brand altogether.

Only 3 years old, leaks water out of front bottom. Comes up with error code of blocked drain hose, but it's a dirty sensor in the bottom of the unit that need to get cleaned every 2 months.

    Warranty doesn't include replacement!!!

Purchased this unit brand new in Oct. 2013 and less than 6 months later it wasn't working properly (not completing the wash cycles, drainage issues, etc...). I called Samsung who arranged for a local service company to come and repair the unit. Over the course of two months the company has been out 4 separate times and it's still not working. Each time, they give you a 5 hour window where you need to be available, as is standard for these types of repair visits. Service Quick failed to fix the unit on any of the visits, stating that a different part needed to be ordered. Each time a new part would be ordered it would take at least one week to arrive, at which time we would schedule another appt. for installation, and each time, the techs (all different) would have another excuse why this couldn't be fixed. One even told us we had to tear out our cabinets so he could "see the unit"!! This is of course an excessive amount of service visits, so I kept Samsung Executive Customer Relations Dept. updated each step of the way. At the final service appt. when I was told yet again that a part needed to be ordered (min. 2 week lag time for it as well), I called Samsung and requested a replacement unit. If their Samsung trained Service/ Repair techs were unable to fix it after 4 visits, why would I be stupid enough to schedule a 5th and waste my time again? Certainly this is a logical case for a replacement! I would call Samsung ECR daily for an answer or status update, since not one representative was able to give me an accurate estimate on when they would have a resolution for us. After nearly 2 weeks of faxing in copies of all our service reports to different departments, I was able to get someone to tell me our case for replacement was denied since only one company had made an attempt to fix it!! I have a job, and can't sit around the house for weeks so that Samsung can send every Tom, Dick and Harry into my home to fix my lemon unit. I'm sure other consumers in the same situation would feel just as frustrated by Samsung's "process" with this! When I demanded I was escalated to a senior dept., I was told that Executive Customer Relations was as high as these cases go, and there is no one else we would appeal to. We are now stuck with a non-working dishwasher we spent more than $700 on less than one year ago, that Samsung won't replace because apparently "Nowhere in the product warranty are you guaranteed a replacement unit if the service attempts fail." BEFORE YOU BUY THIS PRODUCT, THINK TWICE ABOUT WHAT A "SERVICE ONLY" WARRANTY ACTUALLY GETS YOU.
