    Does not dry dishes

This does not have a heating element and will not dry dishes. If that is an important feature to you choose something else. We loaded the dishes, ran the cycle, and did not open the door to interrupt the cycle at any point. We often run the dishwasher at night and unload in the morning. After all evening, the dishes still were not dry in the morning. The walls, doors, and dishes were full of droplets of water. I would have to leave the door open, pull out the racks and in a few hours most of the water would evaporate. At that point, I might as well do my dishes by hand. I can handle a few droplets of water, but this is massive amounts of water that collect. It looked as if it dishes had been sprayed with a water hose and left. Everything was dripping wet. Despite all the good things it had going, I couldn't see having to open the door for it to air out for the next 10 plus years I planned to use it. We returned it to best buy, and they had excellent customer service. They gave us a full refund without any problems.

Took A Chance - Heed the Bad Reviews!!

We bought this on Black Friday along with the Samsung Refrigerator and Range package. We are very happy with the other Samsung products but VERY SAD with this dishwasher. Maybe a defect? Dishwasher left residue inside all the glasses that had no residue in them before...like tiny chunks of food...GROSS! Never dried a load properly and left soap in the dispenser. We NEVER HAD ONE CLEAN LOAD! Every load had multiple dishes still left dirty. I tried different amounts of soap; using less soap, more soap, medium soap no soap, did a vinegar bath to maybe clean it out, no help. And I do use Cascade Complete which is recommended by many manufactures. We finally stopped using it after a couple of weeks because it was pointless. Now the next comments are just some things I noticed comparing to my other dishwasher(s) I've owned. The silverware baskets were annoying to me personally. They were always falling off when you tried to add/remove silverware because the baskets don't clamp on tightly. They basically just set on the side. Also I found it difficult to load dishes. Maybe I didn't use it long enough but I never found a good system to fit my cereal bowls or pots & pans in the upper or lower racks. On a positive it is very deep to hold very large pots but on the negative, it is so deep the bottom rack is practically hitting the floor. Literally, the bottom rack is so low to the ground you really have to bend over to get the dishes out. I think when the door is open it is just several inches off the ground. I guess that's about it. Could have worked with these personal hassles if the dishes were clean! Since the washer was useless for cleaning dishes we have been hand washing for a few weeks, to get through Christmas. I would like to say that Best Buy is the best company! We had until Jan 15th to do a return or exchange. I went in on the 31st, after our traveling had settled down. I will never purchase an appliance through another company ever, because of their exchange/return policy. I was able to exchange this Samsung for a Bosch for a very reasonable price. Would've liked to have had all applianced the same but function wins out every time. Owned a Bosch in a previous home and was sad when we couldn't take it when we sold our home. Our new home had a 20 year old dishwasher and it worked hands down better than this Samsung. Looks pretty but that is about it. Unless Samsung does something different soon I can't see taking a chance on it. Thanks and GOOD LUCK!!! I'll let you know how the Bosch works out :)

    Disappointed

I had this dishwasher installed in December 2013. 6 months later the circuit panel had to be replaced. The service man told us that we always needed to make sure that the dishwasher would have instant hot water and always run the sanitize option. Now 9 months later, we are again having trouble and have no way to run the dishwasher. The cycle seems to take forever even without the sanitize option. I did like the racks and their versability. Previously we had a Kenmore than ran perfectly for 15 years. The only reason why we replaced it was due to the racks falling apart and it was more cost effective to purchase a new one. I'm very disappointed with this dishwasher and will not purchase a Samsung dishwasher again. We just purchased a Samsung curved TV and I certainly hope we don't have an issue with it.

I'm sorry to hear about your experience, KansasMom, and would suggest you contact Best Buy or Samsung for assistance determining your service options. Though you may be outside of the basic one year warranty period, there are other parts of the DW80F600UTS that may be covered for five years or more. I hope this helps you get your Dishwasher running again.

    Disappointment From Samsung

What a terrible product. My husband and I love Samsung products and are typically the only brand we purchase. 3 years ago we bought all Samsung appliances when we purchased our home. The dishwasher has been nothing but a headache. It started out with a terrible smell that I can't get rid of, you have to hold your breath each time you open the door it's so overwhelming. Then I noticed my dishes would never dry no matter how much jet dry I used. I have to hand dry my dishes after each cycle. Now the dishwasher has completely stopped working, I am out of $700 and now looking to replace each of my Samsung appliances that have been nothing but problems. Stick to cell phones Samsung.

SAMSUNG's ARE JUNK Worst CUSTOMER CARE EVER!!!!

I have had this dishwasher (if you can call it that) for over 1 year and the main board on it has gone out (super common on this model). So thinking I bought a quality product I call their customer care and get the 2 hour run around of how its covered under warranty and its only 2 small crews and 4 wire pugs to replace it... BUT, I have to pay their service people to come to my house and charge me $200 to show me how to use a screw driver and how to plug in a few wire plugs mind you the part cost $150 which should just be free under warranty, but they won't just send me the part. After reading all these 1 star reviews I think I'm done with SAMSUNG as a company. Their Customer Service floor manager discriminated against me because I was a CUSTOMER and not a service tech and basically said SAMSUNG doesn't think I'm smart enough to us a fillips head screw driver to replace a part on my own dishwasher. I've talked to 4 people now from SAMSUNG and they all are just reading from a script of rules and telling me as a Customer they can't do anything to help me and there is no way or person to escalate the issue to and I have to just sit back and enjoy my new paper weight with blinking error lights..

    Tips

Keep the dishwasher clean. Gradually over time it cleans less and less. They're is a sensor that gets dirty and throws the whole cycle off. samsung has a nice video on YouTube showing removal of the inside parts. I cleaned it all up in about an hour. Carefull not to loose the black rubber o ring when cleaning the parts , look for it if you do this your self. We upgraded from a 20 year old dishwasher so it's been a learning experience. I cleaned our old one out annually and will do the same with this one. Run time is longer with the new one but does a better job. To get the dishes dry I simply open the door pull out both racks and let the dishes finish dry overnight. It helps to wipe any puddles off the top of any glasses. I plan on using vinegar to keep it clean. You can buy dishwasher cleaner but I doubt anything cleans better than removing and cleaning the parts yourself. I hope this helps someone like me who shopped for a replacement and almost gave up . Not that it matters but it was a open box buy with a damaged door. The damage is on edge away from view and the appliance looks as new.

    Machine of Multiple Failures

After experiencing countless differing failures from the dishwasher unable to complete cycles on top of service calls to replace parts on a dishwasher less than a year old, and now having another major issue with it a year and a half out, we are done with Samsung dishwashers. After finding a site loaded with many other people reporting major breakdowns and costly repairs due to being out of the one year warranty, I have decided that we will be better off putting the money that would be spent on another repair (and most likely another one a short time down the road) into a new NON Samsung dishwasher. I had high hopes for a long term relationship with this machine. What a waste. Do yourself a favor and go with another dishwasher.

    Samsung makes horrible dishwashers

We purchased our Samsung Dishwasher from Best Buy in February of 2014 as part of a 4 appliance suite for our kitchen remodel. BIG MISTAKE! We did not buy the extended warranty through Bestbuy. The dishwasher started to fail (would not complete the cycle) in February of 2015. It was still barely under warranty so Samsung sent VA Electronics out to repair this problem. Worked until Sept 2015 when the same issue came back and the front door started to leak. had to pay VA electronics $99 to come back out to repair the problem, but it just started leaking again! Never buy a Samsung Dishwasher

    Samsung Dishwashers Suck

It looked good when we bought it. Yeah, ran good for 15 months. Then it stopped working. Looked up the error code symbol. It indicated over-level water error. The recommendation is close the water supply, turn off the power, and call the Samsung Service Center. Guess what pal? It's been 15 months and you're on your own. I then looked up other reviews of this Samsung Dishwasher. I wish I would have been more careful doing my homework. There are so many similar complaints about Samsung dishwashers. Contacted Samsung. They said "we're sorry, you're just past your warranty." NO MORE Samsung kitchen products for me. They should stick to televisions.

    Do not buy this dishwasher

I purchased this unit in July 2014 for a home that we were remodeling. The cost was $477 from Lowes. Because the renovation took longer than expected, the washer sat in storage for a year before it was installed. We started using the washer in early Aug and it stopped working two weeks later. Basically, the control panel flashed two LEDs and the discharge pump ran continually. The only way to stop the washer was kill the circuit. For whatever reason, I had failed to purchase an extended warranty from Lowes, so I was stuck with finding the parts or calling a repairman. After some research, I determined that [many] others had experienced the same issue and that several parts were needed. I ordered a temperature sensor and main control board [$158]. However, those parts were made for DW80F600UTS/AA; my dishwasher was DW80F600UTS/AA01 [note the single suffix '01']. In nearly every respect, these two washers are alike. After arguing with the parts company, they agreed to refund my money if I would order the correct parts. So, after more research [there is very little on-line information about the washer with the '01' suffix], I ordered main control board, turbidity sensor and a thermistor @ $185. Once installed, the washer ran for 1/2 cycle and stopped. I was now stuck with a lemon dishwasher, $200 in parts and the prospect of calling a repairman. In a last chance effort, I returned to Lowes and explained my issue to the store manager. Without hesitation he said he would refund my money toward another washer. I bought a Kitchen Aid.

Dishwasher quit working after 3 months, had problem with sensor and required 3 parts to be replaced. Worked another 3 months and same problem. Once again had 3 parts replaced and it worked another 3 months. The repairman told me to buy another dishwasher that there is a flaw in the design and this is going to be an ongoing problems. Look online under problems with samsung dishwasher and you will find there are a lot of angry people. Samsung hasn't been helpful in resolving their design flaw. Went to look at new dishwashers and when I mentioned I had a new Samsung I needed to replace, he rolled his eyes and said he doesn't recommend samsung

    Buyer Beware! Total Lemon

We purchased this dishwasher in Sept 2013. We have had 2 service calls for faulty sensors in the first year of owning the dishwasher. Again it is broken. 2 flashing lights for over level water error. Samsung customer service is not being very helpful and is also acting as if they have never heard of any problems with this particular model. Not to mention that I have to run a clean cycle on it at least once a month to keep the odor away, it does not dry the dishes ,and you have to scrub the dishes clean before you put them in the dishwasher. Do not purchase this model! Do not waste your money or your time! Its always broken and will end up costing more money then it is worth. This model is definitely not worth the price on the price tag! Would have been better off keeping the unit that was left in the house that we purchased! Very disappointed!

The dishwasher itself has a nice modern look and great features. We had the unit for a little over a year and used it regularly. The only problem that we had is that it started to leak on the side. We would start the machine and find puddles on our floor. We had the Geek Squad come out several times to our home but they were not able to isolate the problem. Since having a lot of parts replaced in the dishwasher, they were able to offer an exchange.

I'm sorry to hear about your issue, but glad that Best Buy and the Geek Squad were able to help! For others who may read this, please also contact 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who can help determine service options under warranty, since some parts may be covered for longer than the one year initial warranty period.

Doesn't clean well, small particles get up in glassware. 20 year old whirlpool it replaced did a better job. Now for the ugly part. Multiple primary control board failures. Dumped a bunch of money into this machine on repairs and it was pricey to begin with. It looks nice but that's about where the good stuff ends. Board has failed again and I'm done. It will be on the curb if anyone is interested! I'm getting another whirlpool, ge, or maytag. Samsung appliance division is usless. Bad products and they know it. Warranty is slow. They want more for a 5 year warranty than the machine costs! 800 bucks for 5 years! Come on! Check out the reviews online. Lots of problems with the control board and the sensors. I'll never by another Samsung appliance again! I'd give less than 1 star if I could!

I have had the same continuing problem with this dishwasher since purchase date. Will not drain; then SMART AUTO Light keeps blinking. Repaired in warranty and out of warranty over $200.00. We bought this for my mother to replace an old dishwasher. With no experience installing dishwashers we were able to put it in ourselves in less than a couple hours, its actually very easy, we were just being cautious. After the first wash we noticed it is very quiet, you barely even know its running when your in the room. It didn't seem to be drying dishes very well. I researched it and found out there are no heating coils on the bottom for a dry cycle. However, after adding rinse aid the dishes would come out perfectly dry every time. The dishwasher looks very cool, it has simple operations (no fancy or unneeded features), its quiet and energy efficient. Definitely recommended.

So far the dishwasher has cleaned the dishes very well, my only complaint is that it does not dry the dishes well. Tupperware or large casserole dishes seem to we the most wet when completed. I found that if you open the dishwasher when it completes the dishes will dry better.

    Constantly in need of repair

We purchased this dishwasher when we remodeled our kitchen and it has been nothing but trouble. I've never had such an unreliable appliance. It is lovely and when it works is nice and quiet, the controls are a little awkward at the top of the machine, but lend a nice clean look that looks great with our other stainless appliances. Within the first 6 months we had the dishwasher repaired for an " over level water error". We were told it was a sensor and thought that was the end of it. Immediately after the expiration of the warranty, how ever, the same error message displayed and the dishwasher stopped. We tried to have it repaired under our homeowners warranty, but they told us the entire thing would have to be removed to repair, and that would mean pulling up our kitchen floor.. So we called Samsung again and paid for a second replacement of the same sensors. When the exact same error message displayed 3 months later I finally called. They claimed to have no record of my previous repair requests so I contacted the Samsung office of the president. They agreed to send a technician out and I would pay only for labor. The entire motherboard was replaced. 3 months later, the dishwasher stopped and the same error displayed. When I contacted Samsung again they refused to stand by the product and told me I had already received an accommodation and they would not offer any further assistance even though the dishwasher was less than 18 months old. This dishwasher is a lemon and the company refuses to stand behind their product. Do not purchase a Samsung dishwasher. I have a Samsung refrigerator and 2 televisions, luckily with no issues, but I will never buy another Samsung product after this experience.
