We have had the fridge now for over a year and it’s still working perfectly. We knew getting a counter-depth fridge would mean less storage space, but surprisingly it holds decent amount of stuff. Love the quick grab door. Also love the sleek seamless look without pull handles. The only downfalls that I wish this fridge had was a nicer water drip tray. It looks cheap and looks like it’s missing a tray top, but apparently it’s by design. The tray also stains easily with hard water, to a point where you can’t scrub off the hard water stains. Lastly, the ice maker is a little noisier, even more so than my old fridge that sits in the garage.

I had a 17 year old refrigerator that never turned off and a $300 power bill so I decided it was time to upgrade. My power company offered a $50 credit to change out old units so check with your company as well. I found this unit at my local Best Buy at a huge discount as it had a dent in the front. I purchased a magnetic calendar to cover the dent and I am smiling all the way to the bank! I had a few requirements when shopping... A side by side a that fit in my opening, The best price vs cubic foot I could find and I wanted the cool looking LED lighting. I also wanted an energy star unit and one that filtered the water and made ice. I have a large family on a budget and was looking the most cold cubic feet I could find and cannot budget for all the bells and whistles of the very high end units. This Samsung fit the bill but the deciding factor was the price. Some reviews state that this unit is not cold enough. I have the freezer a few degrees below 0 and the fridge is just above freezing so I do not see how it could cool any better without being a solid block of ice. My unit works perfect and cools down quick. Only negative is the ice maker did spill Ice on the floor. However, all you need to do is place the glass tight against the dispenser and give it a second before removing the glass and all works fine. I do recommend purchasing a fridge/freezer thermometer as that is the only way to properly set this or any fridge temp and will save you money on power and food in the long run and they are only a few dollars. No need to buy the more expensive fridge with digital temp gauge as you still need a real thermometer inside any unit. Very Happy With My Purchase! Great Value!

I've had this fridge for only two months,so I have no basis for long term reliability and have never owned a Samsung appliance before (although I have owned several Samsung electronics). Much like their computers and phones, the Samsung fridge has a lot of WOW factor. They build their products to impress based on appearances. This fridge offers a lot of high end look and features for low to mid range price. With a sale, I got this fridge for $850. For that price, this was a steal. It looks much better than other similarly priced fridges all the way to $1200+ models. I love the exterior. It looks very modern and clean. The blue LED control panel is a nice touch, and I like the white LED accent lights everywhere such as the water/ice dispenser turns the light on for you automatically when you use it. The inside LED lights are a little dimmer than regular bulbs, but, look very high end (most high end fridges have switched to these), take up very little space, and I like the idea that they don't get as hot, last longer without burning out, and are energy efficient. I see this as a worthy trade off and one that is par for newer fridges. This fridge holds a LOT of food, both on the freezer side and the fridge. It is also extremely quiet compared to my last fridge. For those that say the ice maker is loud, they are right, it is loud dispensing ice, but honestly, I have never heard a fridge that wasn't loud dispensing ice. My last similar fridge was a relatively current GE and I can say that this is a much better fridge for a very similar price. I would recommend this as a great value, even at the original price of $1000+. Features that I love: Tall water dispenser, quick cool feature, quiet, LED lighting, modern look, lots of space

When looking at fridges I had a hard time justifying the extra cost to upgrade to french door fridge. Yes the extra size and convenience would be nice, but for me not worth paying about twice as much. The freezer has a smaller ice compartment (but still a good amount) than some, but for me that is not a problem, plus it means extra freezer space. The freezer has a great spot for taller items like frozen pizza and stuff which is convenient. The water/ice is from the same dispenser, the only thing that I don't like is when you get crushed ice, if your cup is not all the way up to the spout thing then crushed ice will spill out. The non-crushed ice comes out quickly and doesn't make a mess though. One nice little feature is that the lights in the fridge are LED and when you open the door they gradually get brighter (takes only a second or so to get fully bright), just a fun added feature. Overall I am very satisfied with this model, although I have only had it for a month so I can't comment on the longevity of it. The salesman said this was there most popular side-by-side fridge and I see why. The one thing that I am unsatisfied with (well extremely unsatisfied with) is Best Buy's deliver service. I have had nothing but bad experiences with them. Every time I get something delivered they give me a 4 hour block (which is annoying enough) but then they are still late. How you can you give someone a four hour block and still be late... Also you call one number and they send you off to another person, who sends you off to another person... I had to call three diffrent numbers to get a hold of the right person. But this review is about the fridge, not best buy delivery so I still gave the fridge 5 stars

After lots of shopping around, we chose this fridge. It has lots of room, led lighting, and is energy efficient. It runs quietly and is easy to clean.

this fridge is really awesome, has a great look, and is a good size. The value of the price is perfect. Only issue is with the Ice Machine there is an ice build up with the ice maker in the door, still trying to find a solution for it.

My wife and I originally wanted a frig that had a bottom freezer but we wanted to keep our costs down so we started looking at the french door styles and found this one on sale for $999. For the cubic feet, brand and the price, we couldn't beat it. So we bought it and couldn't be happier. The LED lights inside are perfect, not too blinding. They gradually get brighter by the second. The water comes filtered which was a great feature with easy access to replace inside. The ice maker makes a lot of ice. The space inside is absolutely great. Just perfect for us! We were thinking that we were gonna buy this cheap one for the mean time then get the frig that we want later on but so far this Samsung has met all our expectations. We couldn't ask for anything less.

Samsung hit this one on the mark, everything is just great about this refrigerator, lots of space,the cool LED lights that comes on slowly as you open the door, and it's energy saver. It's a no brainer not to buy from Bestbuy with the free shipping!

Overall, I love my new refrigerator so far. I have had it about two months now. I don't like the freezers on the bottom concept so I chose this side by side. For the price and looks it works great. I like the freezers space and that it has more door shelf space. The refrigerator shelving heights seem a bit off to me but my last refrigerator. I bought 13 years ago and was a small, cheap, stantard one. So maybe I just don't know how to do it properly. My biggest issue with this refridgerator is that the door ice despenser shoots ice everywhere, even on cube mode. I had read reviews in it that mentioned this and I thought maybe the person was just being finicky. I never had an ice dedpenser in the door before so I thought it would be no big deal if I got a stray piece once in awhile. But it really shoots pieces every which way every time I use it. If you don't have a tile floor or one you don't mind getting wet this is not for you. Luckily my floor is tile!

I bought the fridge because my other one decided to stop working and I did a lot of research before I purchased this one. I really like it, the guys who installed it did a good job and I like the lighting and space in the fridge. I recommend it highly

Overall this is a good appliance. It is my first refrigerator with ice and water in the door. Overall for the price I paid (I got it on sale for $899) it is a great refrigerator. I only have 2 minor complaints. It has a shiny surface and am afraid it might scratch easily. This is only a concern, There are no scratches so far and may be an unwarranted concern. The other complaint is that frost has been building up in the chute where the ice falls from the tray to the door dispenser. In it's defense though, It has been quite humid. Overall though I love it.

I just purchased this item a few weeks ago and so far so good. I love the design and all of the features on the front. The freezer works really great. There is plenty of space and compartments. The only thing that I don't like is the fact that it is kind of loud at times and I am still trying to get used to that. At first I didn't think that I would like it compared to the last one I had but I am really enjoying it. This is a great item to buy and I would recommend it to others.

I wasn't sure about getting it at first was more into the stain steel ones, but once i saw this Black beauty i knew it was the one. Very easy to clean finger marks. Simple use of water and ice maker. There is a lot of storage area for all kinds of food. I like the the lights are blue make it look very nice and very good lighting inside.

I bought this unit almost two years ago and immediately had to exchange it for another due to problems with the freezer. Within a short time the ice maker went out and had to be replaced under warranty. Now, just shy of two years old the unit is making terrible noises that appear to be coming from the fan behind the ice maker. After searching for reviews I found this is a common, and costly, problem with Samsung units. I should have done my homework because I am now shopping for a new fridge. And to add insult to injury I purchased a Samsung dishwasher a few months ago only to have it break down and start leaking on the first load. Back to Best Buy it went to be replaced by a better brand. Guess I was a glutton for punishment. No more! Samsung makes great electronics but should have stayed out of the appliance business. Good luck if you try their appliances.

I bought this fridge as a floor model. Love this so far - looks great and works great. (I hate the top/bottom styles which are clumsy when using the freezer portion. When using the refrigerator at home we all leave the 2 doors open just to look for stuff and realize we are wasting energy). Welcome back the 2 door side-by-side model.

Had trouble finding a black fridge but picked this up as last year's model on sale. We really like this fridge. It's quiet, spacious and attractive, as far as fridges go. Have only had it about a month but really no complaints...

freezer door isn't very tight no matter adjustments. Ice maker frosts, and ice/water dispenser is poorly designed. Ice gets all over the place.

This appliance is the right size for the kitchen, fits well with the decor, and the color is perfect. The appliance was removed from the carton when it was delivered and no damage of any kind was evident.

This is a really sharp looking refrigerator, which is the key reason I liked it best. The only problem is that the black face is too black around the buttons. If you try to use the light feature on the door you will still need to turn on a light in the dark, its so dark. Other than that it seems to be a quiet running excellent product. The shelves are adjustable so if you don't like the spacing you can move them around to fit your household. Another nice feature is the door ice dispenser also fits my big cup! Yippee! For the price its one of the best that Best Buy offers.
