Totally disappointed with the hdmi arc connection

I tried all options to connect to my LG smart TV.Tried pcm/auto, hdmi cec:on/off. I called up Samsung customer care and they troubleshooter and told that it should be a problem with my TV's hdmi port.Called up LG TV support n they concluded that TV port has no issues. Finally I decided to return this sound bar and buy another Yamaha soundbar. Yamaha worked fine in the first try with my TV. So, long story short 2 issues here. 1. Samsung Soundbars hdmi arc did not work. 2. Samsung support failed to troubleshoot and narrow down the issue. Pros of this soundbar - Sound quality is good when hooked up through optical cable but that does not give you the HD quality of a hdmi connection. Didn't want to pay 500$ for a half working product.

I did have a problem with there being a delay with the sound and the mouths on the screen. I had that issue only with my cable box so I connected my cable box to the sound bar and it fixed the problem. Then you have to have your TV set to the soundbar rather than the cable box input. There wasn't any directions on that. It was super easy to setup other than that. The sound is amazing. I love the adaptive surround sound.
