A common reason that the optical cord is not fitting properly is that there is a small cap on the connector end that needs to be removed. Please check for the cap.

Great sound but setup issues

The optical cord provided by Samsung did not work. Took it back exchanged for another it did not work either. After talking with Samsung support to no avail the store manager at Best Buy gave me a Rocket fish optical cord and everything worked fine. Great service from Best Buy bad from Samsung.

Wanted a 3.1 over a 2.1

We had issues early on with the sound cutting out, but fixed this by adjusting an audio output setting from the TV. Highly recommend this!
