Customers recognize the 30" Self-Cleaning Freestanding Double Oven Electric Convection Range's large oven size and convenient warming drawer as significant advantages. Many appreciate the ease of cleaning and using the range. However, some users have experienced challenges with maintaining consistent oven temperatures. The temperature inconsistencies have led to longer cooking times and inconsistent results.

This is an excellent range. It has a lot of great features that are easy to learn to use. This makes it a great range for the chef in the family to the beginner.

I have owned several different brands of ovens including Kenmore, Tappan, and GE. This is by far the best one of all. I would recommend this one to anyone in the market for a new oven. The features of the double ovens, conventiona,l convection, and the fast burner on the stove are by far the best I have used. If using one oven only the other doesn't get warm.

I got suckered into this range after asking about the seperate ovens. I bought it in August 2012 and I like the dual ovens but I do not see a difference with my electric bill like I thought I would. It cooks well and I have no qualms with either oven. I do not like the stove top. Because it is all shiny black it shows everything. It always looks dirty and I feel Im working too hard to scrub it when something overflows or even after a day of not using it because It even shows dust. Because of that aspect, it scratches super easy! We have normal sauce and normal frying pans and they are scratching the surface. This oven is only 5 months old and already looks terrible and I take good care of my things. Im so disappointed I spent so much money on this to have to be so careful and spend so much time on it.

Do not buy this stove! Won't hold temp!

We bought this stove in December 2014, we noticed within about 2 weeks that it just didn't seem to be cooking at the right temp. We started testing with our digital temp sensor and verified that the oven would preheat to the proper temp, but once you open the oven to insert your food item, it never recovers the temperature. If preheated to 375, it will drop to 320 and never come back up. You have to reset the temp, like you are starting over and it will come back up. We had it serviced, they replaced the board in the back along with a temp sensor, but it didn't fix it. The problem does not appear to be related to the unique double oven, but to the electronics.
Its not worth the risk in my opinion to buy this model.

Brand response from MsSamsung

Hi JoeM,
I'm sorry to hear you're having an issue with your Range. I would suggest you recontact either Best Buy or Samsung to update them on the status of the service you received, and the fact that your Range still isn't working. This should help them to determine the proper course of action in resolving the issue for you.
Thank you! Ms. Samsung

The dual oven feature of this stove makes it worth every penny. I was able to cook several different items at once using different temps. Also can keep things in warming drawer at the same time. The burners heat up quickly and cook evenly. I baked three trays of Christmas cookies all at once and they all cooked perfectly in less time using the convection feature. It is a real joy to cook!

My wife is a great baker, this oven gives her the ability to make a great dinner and bake a fantastic dessert at the same time! The convection oven heats up quickly and cooks up food completely w/o burning. We made 2 pizza's the first time we used it using the dual oven feature with the partition and the pizzas came out perfect. Highly recommend this oven!

We love everything about it - everything works like it should, everything is just what we hoped. The only downside is keeping the surface 'pretty' but we're getting used to it.

HORRIBLE OVEN/STOVE

Back in Sept 2012, I purchased this unit the same day I purchased a fridge, dishwasher and microwave, all Samsung. Well, since then, the stove's been replaced three times. The burners eventually lose the ability to heat properly, and the internal temp is a joke. I bake and this oven is ridiculous when it comes to getting the job done. Last week it took over two hours to bake one loaf of bread because the temp kept dropping, ranging from the required 350, down to 215. I've been told that these electric ovens fluctuate in temp, but this is not fluctuating. This is the oven outright mocking me at this point. DO NOT BUY THIS OVEN if you care about what you use it for.
Side note: I was actually told (by a Geek Squad agent) to buy an oven thermometer so I could monitor the oven's temp because of how the temp can change. WHAT?! Why would I need to buy some $10 thermometer to monitor a $1500 range?
BTW, The fridge I bought has also been replaced twice, and the microwave twice. Samsung is a good company, but their products tend to fail on epic levels. I also have several TV's, all Samsung, and all have been replaced. Why do I keep coming back to them? One answer: reviews all point to Samsung being the best among those not priced at the cost of a mortgage and a few internal organs.

Do Not Buy This Range

Bought this to replace a Kenmore Elite range that lasted several years. Main selling point was the double convection oven. What a mistake!! I bake frequently and this oven cannot be compared to a Kenmore. From the beginning, I have had to rotate the item half way through baking so that it would baked evenly. Anything that can be flipped (cookies, biscuits, etc.) will be much darker on the bottom if you don't flip during mid-cycle. Never had these issues with Kenmore. And to top it off, the main circuit board went out just a few months after the one-year warranty ended. Samsung would not consider fixing this for me. Instead offered (for full price) the extended warranty, which I bought since it cost less than replacing the circuit board. I first called Samsung the second week in November. It is December 15 and the part still has not arrived. I am told it will not be here before Christmas, so am scrambling to try to rent a range before family starts arriving for Christmas.
