Love The Oven, Hate The Cooktop

I previously had electric burners with a stainless steel base so cleanup was easy & never had any damage. I love the way everything works which is just as described but no one ever said how fragile the top was. I have older parents who use this stove and I have 1 burner that has almost a third circular scratch on it. If I knew what a hassle this was going to be I would have bought a much cheaper model or the other type of electric burners. I just remodeled the kitchen and the stove looks lousy. We have only been using the kitchen for around 3 weeks which makes it seem like a cheap finish for a more expensive stove.

No dragging the pot, we were extremely gentle. Tried everything to get them out but we are stuck with them. Besides that, it's been a great oven.

So they sent a brand new one! The since works fabulous. I cook a lot of pies and the never burn and cook evenly.

Glad to hear you like your NE597R0ABSR Range! If you find the cooking times are a bit longer than what you're accustomed to, it may be necessary to adjust the thermostat as explained on page 44 of the User Manual:
"The temperature in the oven has been preset at the factory. When first using the oven, be sure to follow recipe times and temperatures. If you think the oven is too hot or too cool, the temperature in the oven can be adjusted. Before adjusting, test a recipe by using a temperature setting that is higher or lower than the recommended temperature. The baking results should help you to decide how much of an adjustment is needed. The oven temperature can be adjusted ±35°F."

Very efficient.
