We purchased this Samsung tv for our bedroom. Wasn't looking to spend a lot because we didn't need all the bells an whistles. It was in the middle price range. We had previously purchased a different name brand tv for less but had to return it for a defective back light that never shut off! It was like our bedroom was haunted!!- you get what you pay for! So, after reviewing the next price range this one came out on top. We were so impressed with this Samsung tv that we were also in the market for a refrigerator an purchased a Samsung too!!

This TV has an excellent and sharp picture, especially in HD.

Installed this TV on my back covered patio (16' x 50'). Although it has a roof, it still gets very bright - especially when the sun is lower in the afternoon and beams more directly onto the patio. With hardly any adjustments, this TV delivers a very sharp, crisp, and bright picture. I've had numerous guests comment on the high picture quality. My previous TV had a glossy finish on the screen. I like this one for its matte finish because it is better at reducing glare. I've only used the "smart" features a few times and never experienced any issues. I really like this TV and think it is a great deal for the price paid.

It was so easy to assemble, to set up and to install.

First flat screen TV had broken glass when we opened box. Second, flat screen glass was inspected by Best Buy. LED has very good quality picture. Having difficulties with SMART HUB loading apps. To date I had to use SAMSUNG remote support on three occasions. The approach has always been "I'll rest your TV to factory defaults" which wipes out all apps already loaded. Third technician could activate an app on my TV that I could not. Not so sure about decision to buy SMART TV.

I did hours and hours of research before finally deciding on getting this tv and I LOVE it. Check out rtings.com if you disagree but the picture looks great, the smart functions work great, its nice and thin and does not look cheaply made. And my xbox looks beautiful on it. My other options were the samsung j6200 and the vizio e series. I picked the 6300 over both because the 6200 was too thick and didn't have side ports and not enough HDMI ports. I picked it over the e series because i got a good deal on the 6300 and because something about the picture of the vizio made it look too "white/cloudy" to me. That and it did not come with a full web browser. TRUST me, if you don't want 4k, this 1080p model is the next best thing.

Television worked fine but now it just turned 2 years last month since purchase and I now only have sound on it and ABSOLUTELY no picture. Now I have to carry it in to have it repaired. 2 years of service for almost $400 on this tv it's just ridiculous.

Glad I researched the reviews before shopping. I learned exactly what model and brand met my viewing style and waited for a good price. This Samsung was highly rated and lives up to it. It has great color and clear picture. Really good up scaling of DVDs and other 480 content. Good contrast with uniformly dark blacks. Blacks wash out at wider angles but I knew that. The sound is very good for most tv viewing and I use my stereo speakers for movies. Sports looks much better than other LED TVs I've seen - I don't notice a blur on the players in motion, and you can see blades of grass on the field till the camera stars moving a lot. The Smart TV features are modest but easy to use and free apps can be added for streaming news, sports, financial news etc. It has a web browser that even my Apple TV didn't include, so you can watch videos from sites that don't have apps yet, but it's pretty slow in responding to remote commands and I haven't learned if there's a way to add a mouse-like controller. I am really happy with this TV and glad I studied the rtings.com ratings website before buying.

I am truly happy with the picture quality. I like the number of in/output connections available. The unit does not get warm, something that is important. Easy to lift as it is very light. The set-up was easy and fast. Connection to the internet was simple and fast. My only con is the stand is made of plastic and does not seem to be very strong. I purchased two plastic place mats from Target, $4.00, and cut them to the correct length, then clear taped them together. With the TV on this, one can swivel the set without concern of the plastic stand breaking.

The screen is a very nice size and the picture is fantastic. Setting it up was a snap, and it is so light. The SMART features work very easily and enhance the viewing experience. This was a great purchase!

Bought this tv the weekend before labor day because I needed a smart tv and a larger screen since I watch alot of youtube videos. I use it as a bedroom tv. Great picture quality. It was very easy and simple to set up the tv and connect to wifi/smart features. I like the Micro dimming effect the tv has. There can be a slight glitch for certain tv shows (specifically older episodes of SVU?) when people are moving which I think has to do with the motion rate. It doesn't happen that often though. When I bought the tv I believe it was 479.99. Good price and quaility. Within a minute of entering the store, someone was able to assist me in choosing the right tv for my needs. Great Customer service. Samsung tvs are #1 in my opinion. If I hadn't gotten a Samsung, second choice would have been LG.

Bought this as a replacement for my bedroom tv. After months of researching 32 and 40 inch LEDs, I thought I was going pick up a 32inch Samsung. Upon seeing size differences in person and side by side, I decided to upsize. I already own a 48 inch Samsung Smart LED HDTV for the den and love the quality of their products (own Tablet, Camera, 2 tvs) Am impressed by their built quality, ease of set up and use, picture and Smart capabilities. The salesman who assisted me, was very patient as I re-reviewed all the features and differences between the different models. I choose this 6300 over other choices for the features, size, build, number of HDMI ports, Smart capabilities, and the picture quality. The picture is amazing. Crisp, bright. Refresh is excellent. The border is minimal, super thin and lightweight, it has he V shaped stand, which I prefer for my set up. There were other 40 inch Samsung HDTVs to choose from, including the newest 4K, but for my purposes (mostly movies and streaming), this 6300 fit the bill. Price was great (again, I researched everywhere for months). Got it home and set up was a breeze, took me longer to get it out of the box then it did to set up. I recommend Samsung, especially this model, UN40J6300A LED Smart TV to anyone who is looking for a great picture, practical size, quality tv. BestBuy had the best price (I believe this model number is exclusive to BestBuy but its very similar sibling is still more money everywhere), and BestBuy always has the most helpful, knowledgeable and patient staff members. Need a 40 inch? Buy this one.

this model is the thin one which i like easy set up great picture this 6300 series is far better than the others trust me go to best buy and look at the other models & compare this one is just like my 46 in you can't go wrong a month later it was cheaper than what i paid i went back to the store and they gave me credit back on my card thank you best buy

Chose this TV because it had advanced features and great reviews, and it was just the right size for an existing TV cabinet. We were concerned it would be a little small for our large bedroom, but it has such an amazing picture quality that we have been delighted. From football to CSI. Netflix to Youtube, everything looks fantastic. (Even the presidential debates, and it's tough to make those people look good!) This model has more features, such as great internet app access, as well as video processing. We chose the "natural" color setting and it's like the people are in the room with you! Sound quality is surprisingly good, even stuck in a cabinet. Includes digital output, but no 1/8 earplug jack. Setup was simple, the bezel and stand are minimalist and modern to look at.

I'm not an expert in home electronics and this is just our 2nd large TV, but this model lived up to or exceeded most of our expectations. Our main concern was picture quality, which is extremely sharp. Many standard def tv programs even look sharper (almost like video) and full HD like blu ray is stunning. The only drawbacks we encountered were placement of jacks on rear of tv is a little bit of a pain to access and speakers in the rear are muffled somewhat by the walls of our tv stand. The sound itself is very good, just muted a little by the style of our furniture. The stand it comes with is also a "v" shaped stand which means it can tip when we move the TV to access jacks. You need to be sure the stand is always fully seated on the surface, otherwise it can tip over.

This is one of the best HDTV in the 1080p class. Picture is sharp and black levels are great. Smart downloads movies easily. Only thing they could improve is the stand. Samsung has a winner here and BestBuy price was great.

Easy set up, Easy to wall mount. Wall mounted by myself. Picture is very crisp and clear. Smart T.V. features are nice to have, easy to use. This is a T.V. I use in my home office, it exceeded my expectations.

This Samsung is of high quality, the picture is great, the Smart features as well are great. It was easy to set up, so didn't take much time from box to watching television.

I needed a new TV for my bedroom. I saw this 40 inch Samsung TV online so had to check it out at the store. Great picture quality and easy setup. Love the Smart TV option for watching Netflix, HBO Go and Amazon. Will definitely look into a bigger 4K version from Samsung when I need to replace my living room TV.
