I initially purchased a lower priced 4k TV and HATED it. Coarse picture and bad audio/video synchronization. Made watching impossible. Then, based on the recommendation of a knowledgeable BESTBUY salesperson, I "moved" up to more expensive set which is WORTH EVERY PENNY. The picture is lush, the up scaling is great and the overall quality is impressive. Rather than try to ignore all of the cheaper set's deficiencies, I excitedly look forward to watching all content on this great device. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT. Also, BESTBUY's 15 day return policy is terrific (allowing me to return the 2 cheaper sets I had bought - I figured the first was defective, but a second one was also bad), and 1 day after buying the more expensive Samsung set, the price dropped. It took 5 minutes for them to process the refund for the lower price. So thanks BESTBUY!

I've only had my new samsung TV (40' NU7100) for 24 hours, but loving it already. The picture quality is great for sports, and that was my biggest "want". Being familiar with the Samsung Smart hub helped with adjusting to some new functionality features. The 3 HDMI ports for a 40' is a nice touch, along with the other standard input ports. I wanted to stay in the $300-400 range for this purchase, and feel very happy with my purchase. I originally took home the Vizio V-series 40', but did not like the picture quality on that set, as it lacks that HD "crisp". This samsung is night & day in comparison (in picture quality) when using comcast / xfinity cable. I definitely recommend if this size is what you're looking for. It's perfect for a small living room and doesn't make a large footprint.

Got this TV to go with a PS4 Pro and I am absolutely blown away with the picture and graphics!!! Only thing I don't like is the remote. It's just a little bit of a pain when having to input information.

When I see the reviews I notice that I am not the only one that has/had problem with connecting this Samsung TV to the WiFi. I have Verizon 2G and 5G but the TV can't find the 5G. It finds the 2G but couldn't be connected. After several times trying it was finally working. The TV with the 4K is very nice and the TV app is wonderful. The connection to the Samsung mobile app failed however. So some work to be done.

I love this TV, love the colors and quality of the picture very easy to use and easy to set it up. I want to buy a bigger TV just like this one.

I use this as my main tv and sit about 4’ from it because of the way I set up my living room. Being that close I can say that the images are sharp and even in scenes with a lot of dark areas the definition isn’t terrible, but also not as sharp as in the lights. The refresh rate of 120 causes fast-paced action to look jittery but I can live with that. I use a sonos beam for sound so I cant say if the quality is as good as that of the video.

I have nothing bad to say about this TV. It has decent performance and features for the price point. It's a bedroom TV and I'm happy with it. What annoyed me with my experience in setting it up is that nothing in Samsung's or BestBuy's descriptions mention having to make adjustments when attaching to a VESA mount. The top two screw holes sit slightly above the curvature of the back panel. This makes it not possible to attach it to your mount without having to use bolt adapters. The good thing is they include 4 of these in the accessories pack; the bad thing is you have to purchase longer M8 screws in order to get it done. Now, I don't mind having to pay for the additional hardware but for Chrissakes, can you give me a heads-up about it so I can have everything available before wasting my time? The longer M8 screws aren't difficult to find but they are not always available off the shelf. I had to order some online. So as I write this, my new TV is sitting in its box and I've reattached the older and smaller Samsung it was replacing back on it's wall mount. I won't have the new screws for two days. One more thing about the placement of the top screw holes. I'm not an engineer but I question why they had to be placed in that location. I haven't measured but just an inch or a bit lower would have avoided the top of the curvature. If I wasn't so limited in space, I would have returned it and bought another brand. But, you can't find many 40" panels anymore and 43" was not going to fit where my current wall mount is attached. Oh well, life goes on. Hope this helps others.

Samsung knos how to design and build good TVs. Without being 3D their flat screen gives that effect. Great pictures with decent sound. Sadly there are no RCA style audio outputs on the newer models. Still recommended.

Set-up for the set was easy, including getting it connected to wi-fi. However, I have the following complaints: First of all, if you go to the Samsung site and ask for the PDF of the manual for THIS SPECIFIC MODEL, the manual you get is for higher-end models and is about 95% not applicable. Instructions say to press buttons on the remote that don't exist or to select menu options that aren't there. By default, "eco mode" is turned on which dims the picture based on ambient light. With this feature on, the controls for brightness, contrast, color, et al are disabled. Even in bright room light, dark scenes were nearly totally black and unwatchable. The instructions for turning the feature off were wrong, and I wound up searching all of the menus until I finally found it. Finally, bright scenes have a vignette about 3/4" wide around the whole picture, which probably means that the backlight isn't adequate there. My other major complaint was the wall-mount bracket that Best Buy recommended for this TV which was not appropriate for it. But that's another review.

This is good TV. I used this for 3 yrs. if you want to buy small size tv than its good option

Purchased this because the 4K 40" Samsung I purchased last year got a big grey streak running horizontally across the screen after about 6 months that Samsung won't cover under warranty. Unfortunately I only have room for a 40 in this particular space, or I would get away from Samsung and go with an LG 43. I thought maybe I'll have better luck with the 7100 series, this should be an upgrade over last year's model. The picture is fine, but surprise, it doesn't have a 5 GHz receiver in it. Really? In 2018? Last year's lower end model did. Every TV I've purchased in the last decade can connect to 5 GHz Wi-Fi. Heck, ANY product with Wi-Fi I've purchased in the last ten or so years can. Except this one. I can't stream 4K with my 2.4 connection where the TV is located, it maxes out at 720p. Last year's TV streamed 4K with the 5 GHz connection from the same location. So I had to go out and buy a ROKU for the 5 GHz connection and 4K streaming. I should feel happy about a new TV, but Samsung sure knows how to ruin things. Now I'm just irritated. Boooo Samsung, just Boooo.

Just purchased 50" my biggest complaint is the picture, while its crystal clear it makes me nauseous and movies dont seem "real" looking. It looks like people are just placed in a fake background. Does anyone else have this problem? If so how can I fix so that I dont have to return it.

Samsung is still using the old Advanced Audio Distribution Profile A2DP. The newer protocol is aptX. Thus your Bluetooth headsets and remote speakers will not automatically connect.

bought this jan 2,2019, today veryical lines, not even 5 years old, don,t but a samsung. monet wasted.
