What about people who don’t have a laptop? Flash drive available? Older people who don’t know technology? Thankfully Samsung support was good but this was very inconvenient and took up more than one hour of my time. Also, network cable location on the side of the TV is in an odd location and the cable keeps disconnecting without even being touched. I would avoid this TV if you want something easy to set up and operate. This is not a purchase that I’m proud of.

Thank you for purchasing the TU7000 TV and for your review. I am very sorry to hear of your frustrating experience with updating your firmware. It is usually easier to update your TV by setting it to Auto Update, but you can also update manually from your TV without using a flash drive.
Using your TV's remote, navigate to Settings, and select Support. Select Software Update, and then select Update Now. New updates will be downloaded and installed on your TV. Updates usually take a few minutes; please do not turn off the TV until the update is complete. When the update is finished, the TV will restart automatically. If there aren't any new updates, select OK to exit.
You may want to enable automatic updates for conveniences.
Select Settings > Support > Software Update, then select Auto Update.

Good TV for the money

Other than that, it's a good TV for the money. Would not recommend for primary TV. Good for bedroom, playroom etc.

I am sorry that you are experiencing freezing with your TU7000 TV.
You can have your TV perform a self-check to diagnose the issues you are experiencing.
Go to Settings > Support> Device Care > Start Device Care
This service checks memory and frees up unused cached memory and closes background apps.

You may also want to clear out your TV's temporary storage space by pressing and holding the Power button for 6 seconds.

The app selection screen is a whopping 10% of the actual screen and makes me feel like a 90 year old complaining about it. Constantly has connection issues while no other device in the same vicinity does. I feel like breaking out my old Chromecast and old TV instead. Limited options in settings.
