I'm out $299 for a TV we could not return

Went back to Best Buy for the remote, they wanted to charge $40, got it for $20 - why should we pay for a remote that should be in the box? Decided to return the TV and remote and purchase a new TV, lower model 7000, we didn't like the picture quality and then tried to remove what we thought was a film protector on the screen, it cracked the actual top left screen covering. Best buy would not refund the TV, we ended up repurchasing the 1st TV for $50 discount. Now we are out $299 for the TV they wouldn't refund. Samsung should alert customers not to try to remove protective covering, because there isn't one. Best buy should have given us the remote so we would not have to go through all of this and be negative $299, with a TV we won't use. Poor customer service.

Thank you for sharing your experience with the TU7000 TV. Please know that if there is a protective film on your screen, it would be indicated with a blue triangle in the upper left corner. The triangle will have an illustration showing how to remove the protective film.
If you do not have a blue triangle in the upper left corner, then that means there is no protective film on the screen, so peeling of anything would damage what is actually the screen.

Replacement TV

Well, that was not true. The color was bad, it was dark in one side and flashing. I took it back to the store, which was a headache due to transporting it, I threw the box away. When I got there i had to find another one which cost more, however, the split the price so I guess it was taken care with another tv and an additional $35.

I purchased this from Best Buy in Montclair CA about 2 years ago and getting a faded black screen on the right side. Called Samsung and they said repair cost and new purchase is about the same price, very disappointed.

The back of the component does not have a universal screw holes for wall mount like other products such as Sharp, Sony, and LG. The Samsung screen sometimes turns blue and need to unplug tv set to re-set settings. I've had to do the re-set four times since receiving the TV. I had to wait 1.5 weeks to do store pick up after buying online. If blue screen keeps happening will need to return. Im now thinking should have bought an LG brand.
