Not Enough Memory to Even Perform Upgrade

Brand new, out of the box, and the system cannot perform an update because it is out of space. The system is filled with bloatware (typical Samsung) and even Samsung is unable to delete the unnecessary apps to free up space. Memory is so cheap, why would they put so little in the TV? Samsung promised to come out but keeps postponing the appointment. I currently have 5 Samsung TVs in my house and there will never be another. Great quality of TV picture -- they just try to make money off of everything -- the were paid money to put those unnecessary apps on, the notification slide that comes up whenever change anything even has advertisements on it. I paid for the TV so I shouldn't be getting a commercial every time I turn on the TV.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. The preinstalled apps and shortcut function buttons are part of our Smart TV platform designed to deliver simple, easy, and customized entertainment experience for our customers.
Customized ads appear in a small icon on the lower left of the TV screen and are unobtrusive unless a consumer clicks on them. Consumers can choose to opt-out of receiving interest-based ads at any time through the settings menu. Should a consumer opt not to receive interest-based ads, the small icon will still be present, but the ads will be generic and not based on the consumer’s specific interests.
Please know that you can remove apps you no longer want and free up memory space on your TV.
- Press the Home button to open up the TV's Home screen menu.
- Navigate to select APPS, and then select the Settings icon in the top right corner.
- Next, select the app you want to delete.
- Finally, Select Delete, and select Delete again to confirm.
