I purchased this tv June 12, 2020. Without warning on July 24, 2020 the screen went dark and the sound was in and out. The tv could only be turned off by unplugging it because when plugged in it would continue to flash a purple screen for less than 2 seconds per flash and the sound would go in and out for less than 2 seconds. I am so frustrated that a tv would stop working so quickly after purchase. The tv is under warranty so I am currently in the waiting process to have the tv repaired (told today that the last part is scheduled to be delivered 8/3/20 and the repairman will call within 24-48 hours to schedule the appointment). This early on in, they should be offering a brand new TV and they can get the one I have and sell as refurbished. I would not recommend this tv.
I previously had a Roku tv and it was much more user friendly.

The audio went out on this TV 20 days after purchase. Tried everything to get it to work. We finally unplugged the TV and plugged it back in and the audio came back on.
On 7/13 we went into best buy to see what could be done with the tv and we were told because we didn't buy the warranty nothing could be done. After 20 days and nothing could be done. Not happy...

I am very sorry that you are experiencing issues and could not hear the audio. Check whether Digital Output Audio Format is set to Pass-Through. If you select the Pass-Through option to use an AV receiver that does not support Dolby Digital+, no sound is output with Dolby Digital+ content.
It is recommended to set Digital Output Audio Format to Auto when the connected receiver supports only the limited audio formats. Go to: Settings > Sound > Expert Settings > Digital Output Audio Format > Auto

Glitchy and won’t turn on

I’ve been a loyal customer to Samsung TVs for more than 10 years. I bought a 50” inch 6 series last year for my living room (no issues) and decided to purchase a 43” inch series this summer. Three weeks in I started having issues with turning the TV on and off, “network connection” despite not having issues with network connection with my other TV. Three and a half weeks ago I called when my TV froze and wouldn’t turn off or reboot even after unplugging. I scheduled a maintenance visit but he showed up around 8:30pm which seemed highly unusual. Finally I left it unplugged for a day and tried the power again; it finally turned back on. Now, mid September the TV has finally quit. I’ve switched remotes, reboot and reset to factory settings, unplugged, and nothing helps. The freezes and turns off whenever it wants and often times doesn’t turn on at all.
I’m super unhappy with my TV and wish I could take it back. I’m not sure if it’s this series or not but I highly recommend skipping over this TV.

This TV is utter trash. DO NOT BUY. Remote has completely stopped working. Samsung’s suggestion; buy a replacement remote. Replacement remote purchased and it still doesn’t work.

The most common are physical damage, battery issues, or issues with the infrared sensor on the remote or TV. You may want to try the following troubleshooting steps.
1) Reset the remote by removing the batteries & pressing Power for 8 seconds. Then reinsert the batteries.
2) Check to see if the remote is sending/receiving an infrared signal. You can check whether the signal is being transmitted by pressing the power button and observing the front tip of the remote control through the camera on your smartphone. If you do not see the IR light, replace the batteries with fresh ones and try again. If you still do not see the IR light, then replace the remote. If you see the IR light, turn on your TV using the control on the TV directly. Then, try controlling the TV again by pointing the remote directly at the Samsung logo.
If the remote still will not work, contact our Support Center to request service.

The TV will upscale as best as possible any content sent to it. The closer your content is to 4K, the better the image will look on the screen. Here are some tips to help improve the picture clarity: 1) HDMI cables are recommended for optimal HD viewing. 2) If you have an analog cable box or satellite box, upgrade to a digital cable box or satellite box. 3) Change the output resolution of your devices, such as digital broadcast receiver, IPTV, and set-top box to UHD or HD. 4) You can further adjust your sharpness, brightness, contrast, color, and more by going to Settings > Picture > Expert Settings 5) Choose a Picture Mode by going to Settings > Picture > Picture Mode and choose from Dynamic, Standard, Natural, Movie, or Filmmaker Mode.

Thank you for purchasing the TU7000 TV and for your review. I am sorry to hear that you are not happy with the brightness levels of your picture. If the colors on your TV are correct but just a little too dark or bright you can try the different Picture Modes or manually adjust the Brightness settings to your liking.
Dynamic Picture Mode will make pictures brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments. Go to: Settings > Picture > Picture Mode > Dynamic
Or manually adjust the Brightness and other settings to your liking. Press the HOME button on your remote, then navigate to: Settings > Picture > Expert Settings
You may also want to disable Power Saving Mode which automatically adjusts the brightness to reduce the TV’s power consumption. Go to Settings> General> Eco Solution> Power Saving Mode.
Ambient Light Detection will also automatically adjust the brightness level of the TV, according to the ambient light level, to reduce power consumption. If Ambient Light Detection has adjusted the screen brightness to a too bright or dark level, you can select Minimum Brightness to manually adjust the minimum screen brightness. Go to Settings> General> Eco Solution> Ambient Light Detection
Please also be sure you are running the latest firmware. You can check to see what software version your TV is using and if there is an available update through the settings on your TV. Go to: Settings>Support>Software Update.
You may want to enable automatic updates for convenience. Select Settings > Support > Software Update, then select Auto Update.

We tried to connect the TV to our WiFi, which is 10 characters long. The TV only accepts 8 characters and has limitations on special characters.
We contacted Samsung support and were told to change ten WiFi password to make the TV work.
The tv has a very good image, but if you are concerned about internet security, you won’t be able to connect.

There are several preset picture modes and many custom settings that can optimize image quality for your viewing scenario.
Go to HOME > SETTINGS > PICTURE > PICTURE MODE and choose:
Dynamic: Makes the picture brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments. Standard: This is the default mode suitable for general viewing environments. Natural: Reduces eye strain for a comfortable viewing experience. Movie: Suitable for watching TV or movies in a dark room. Filmmaker: Watch the source content (e.g., movie) as it is.
In addition, the image quality on your screen depends on the source and the connection. HDMI cables are recommended for optimal HD viewing; and when possible, 4K content will provide the best picture quality. The TV will upscale as best as possible any content sent to it. The closer the signal is to 4K, the better it will look coming out.

Just ok picture quality and the response to remote commands is VERY slow. I’m glad this is not my main tv.
