I loved it when I first bought it, but after only 19 months the TV went dark when the backlight strips went out on both sides of the TV. My previous Samsung TV's were awesome but I didn't notice that this model has a lot of negative reviews for backlighting issues.

To optimize the smart TV performance, please try Device Care option under the Support Menu. Go to Settings > Support> Device Care > Start Device Care.
This improves your apps performance as it frees up unused cached memory and closes background apps. We also recommend you check that your TV is running the latest firmware. Using your TV's remote, navigate to Settings, and select Support. Select Software Update, and then select Update Now. New updates will be downloaded and installed on your TV. Updates usually take a few minutes; please do not turn off the TV until the update is complete. When the update is finished, the TV will restart automatically.

Weeks later I had major problems with the screen. I could not return it to the store, so I contacted Samsung. After a technician came out to confirm that the T.V. could not be repaired, Samsung issued a credit for me to purchase another item from their website. During the process, I found numerous reviews with the same problem. I love Samsung, but this item is a lemon.

I ordered this TV and when I get it the box has Best Buy tape on it which means it was a return. So I didn’t get a new tv I got a return and the tv was bad

Myslef and my girlfriend actually both bought this same tv, after 2 years she had an LED strip on once side go bad and after 2 years my power board has now gone bad. This is also a reoccurring theme with new samsung TV’s they do NOT last more than 3 years. So if youre okay with having this tv for 2-3 years before buying a new one then go for it.

I bought it on July 2020. Sone times it worked fine and some time it didn’t. On September 2021 it got broken. The screen stoped working. I did not buy any guarantees, so I lost my money. This device only worked for one year and 2 months.

My grandfather bought this tv on June 25th of this year, it broke by October 10th. Do not buy this tv, from what I have read it has problems with the boards. His tv was flickering with sound, but no picture.
It also is a pain to setup, because it tries to force you to use the smart tv to find active hdmi and such vs just letting you change to the desired input.

If you've switched on your TV and the sound comes through fine, but you're not seeing any picture; there are 3 potential issues.
1) A connection issue; the most common problem. Where there is a bad connection, faulty cables or improper installation. 2) An issue with the device connected to the TV. There may be a video output setting on the device that you must set properly before it will output to the TV. 3) There is something wrong with the TV, which will require a technician to assess the TV and find a solution.

Do NOT buy this TV! It has network connection issues. According to Samsung, they told me it's this specific model that has been messing up for many people. I had this tv for a few months before it started acting up. Samsung sent a technician to replace my parts, and it stopped working again 2 months later. Please do not waste your time and money on this tv. I am leaving this review a year later, due to constant issues.

Horribly controlling product

They force you to have their apps and can't delete the pre-installed ones. The tv would randomly turn off, not go to selections when you confirmed, and wouldn't even reset when we decided to return.
I bought a TV to watch it not be controlled by it. Samsung just lost a customer for life which is sad because we swore by their products. Poor choices all around.

My previous Samsung 5 Series was perfect so it was quite a shock to receive the Samsung 7 Series and it's poor performance.
It should have been better.. (two series later)r but that was not my experience. If they don't want to make Smart TV'S then work on cell phones.
Don't over promote Samsung Smart TV's and under delivery simply because all you will get is returns. That's pretty evident to me.

Very disappointed. Product arrived defective per the tech and asked for me to call BB to do an exchange. Why can’t I call and speak to the store directly? With all the prompts and rerouting, waiting it is very exhausting. Both of my parents have restrictions and cannot go into the store physically. Waited over a week for the delivery too.

I bought this tv for my daughters and it gave me problems with the apps from the beginning. It’s been 6 months and it burned out. Got the geek squad protection plan. When I took it in to see what’s wrong with it. They wouldn’t even look at it, what a waste of $$$. Disappointed!! Bought a lemon honestly.

Screen failed after less than 2 months. The Visio this TV replaced is 13 years old and still functions like new. So Samsung won't do anything and Best Buy's customer service is limited to "call Samsung".
Honestly I'm done with Best Buy and Samsung, I won't be shopping at Best Buy again, and I won't buy another Samsung product.
