I had always known for these TVs to be higher quality and to last much longer. Disappointing.

Seems to be a going trend with TV's to where you cant get more than 3-5 years out of them before having to spend have a grand for a new one, or pay Samsung them to "repair" it.

User Unfriendly
Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this TV for my 77 year old mother. She is definitely on the luddite side. When you turn this TV on it takes you to the Samsung app and you have to click around to get to the individual HDMI inputs - so because of the design feature (I checked with Samsung) you can't turn it on and go straight to cable. It's too much for her and she doesn't like using the TV at all and will go in the other room and watch her old one in the less comfortable chair with the smaller screen and worse picture instead. As a technology savvy person, I find it annoying, and even though it has a good quality picture, I won't be buying a Samsung TV ever again. Also, the sleep feature is super buried in the settings and is hard to enable.
