It was a much better experience with Jonathan getting my TV from the store and installing it. He was on time and very organized. He answered my questions. He cleaned up after the
installation and told me to hang onto the box.

I had high hopes for this new Crystal UHD 7 series....I had my previous Samsung more than 7 years and only replaced because something fell on the screen. The 2 star rating is ALMOST solely due to the picture quality. Just like others have noted, dark scenes are waaayyy too dark, to the point you can't make out figures (or anything really) when watching night scenes in a movie. Actors with darker hues have little clarity as well. Sound and user friendliness are decent...but I expected more from Samsung. My 2012 model was superior. Now, I'm a "Samsung Girl", phone, etc, however, I will be returning this item. I am considering another brand (possibly an LG). Steer clear folks....

Using your TV's remote, navigate to Settings, and select Support. Select Software Update, and then select Update Now. New updates will be downloaded and installed on your TV. Updates usually take a few minutes; please do not turn off the TV until the update is complete. When the update is finished, the TV will restart automatically. If there aren't any new updates, select OK to exit.
You may want to enable automatic updates for conveniences. Select Settings > Support > Software Update, then select Auto Update.

Good picture quality but terrible processor. I had to factory reset this TV multiple times. Scrolling with the remote is incredibly slow. Apple Airplay would only work intermittently and then I would have to factory reset the TV for the Airplay to work again. Eventually I couldn't get into YoutubeTV or Youtube. Samsung definitely put a cheaper processor in this TV. I have a series 8 Samsung and that TV runs so much smoother and has never required a factory reset.

Does not work with Hulu live

This tv does not work with Hulu Live. When viewing Hulu live, the tv constantly freezes and its getting progressively worse. I have gone through all the suggested trouble shooting, but it has not solved the problem. Tech support defaults to suggesting it is a connection or wifi issue, however I have an older tv connected to a hulu express streaming player and have no problems at all.

I have owned three Samsung TVs over the years as have other members of my family. I purchased this TV a week ago and I really tried to like it but it's going back tomorrow. It is HORRIBLE! The picture itself is crystal clear, but the color is awful. There seems to be a blue cast to the picture and I have tried to tweak it as instructed by using Natural or Theater mode and then it is a brown cast. But by far...the worst thing is whenever I am looking at something where there is a dark background or even when the picture is an outdoor scene...I cannot distinguish the dark parts of the picture. It just sort of melts into the screen. So for instance...I'm looking at a baseball game and they show the players sitting in the dugout. I can barely make out who's who the picture is so dark and muddled. Maybe I just got a lemon, but I advise not to waste your money on this piece of crap. I have Samsung TVs in my house but had a 9 year old Insignia in my bedroom which I thought I would upgrade and although the picture on the Insignia may not have been as sharp the overall color and contrast was far better than this disappointment. I don't even know if I will exchange for a more expensive Samsung....I may get an LG.

1. Unplug the TV from the wall outlet or surge protector and leave it unplugged for 30 seconds. 2. Check the power cord to see if there is any visible damage. 3. Plug the TV power cord back into the wall outlet. If you were using a surge protector, bypass it for now and use a wall outlet. 4. Try to update the software. In some cases, a software update can correct the problem. There is a risk, however. If the TV turns off during the software update, it could damage the TV. Updates can take up to 30 minutes, depending on network speed, so if the TV is not turning off too frequently, try updating the software.

I really wish I read the reviews before purchasing this TV based off a good experience with an older Samsung. So far I have a 2/2 failure rate on this tv which leads me to believe the 7 series is junk. Original tv purchased about a month ago had a 'shadow' line on the left side and dots on the right. Samsung said they were going to send someone to fix it, which was concerning because research on the problem leads me to believe that there was dirt getting under the screen causing the issue, so I expect it would have recurred. No repair person ever showed on the scheduled day. Called them to inquire and they said Samsung should have told me they were giving me a whole new tv. Cool. Arranged through Samsung and Bestbuy to exchange this tv for a new one. great. new tv has perfect picture. However, like other problem reviewers have reported, this one doesn't stay connected to the internet. after sitting idle for any extended period of time, it cannot connect to the wifi anymore and the only way to fix it is to keep turning it on and off and waiting for it to find the wifi again. Samsung customer service is very nice but this tv line is horrible, please do not waste your time.

1) Check the distance between the TV and your modem or access point. The distance should not exceed 50 ft. (15.2 m).
2) Minimize interference by not using or turning off wireless devices. Also, verify that there are no obstacles between the TV and the modem or access point. (WiFi strength can be decreased by appliances, cordless phones, stone walls/fireplaces, etc.)
3) Perform a network test to check if there is a network problem.
Press the Home button on your remote. Navigate to Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis> Smart Hub Connection Test
4) Try a cold reboot of your TV by pressing and holding the power button for 5+ seconds until the TV turns off and on again.
5) Please also be sure you have the latest firmware update. You may want to enable automatic updates for convenience. Select Settings > Support > Software Update, then select Auto Update.

Pros: You get the size, and the smart features for a good price. Color is good.
Cons: Poor, juttery and smudgy motion! Very poor brightness! Setup adds unnecessary steps, and the menu feels slow and unresponsive at times.
If you want to experience 4K at this size, you'll need to find a better panel.
If all you need is a big TV with smart features at this price range, get a 2K, or 1080P TV.

1) For optimal motion image performance, you may want to adjust the picture clarity setting by going to: Settings > Picture > Expert Settings > Picture Clarity Settings - Off: Picture Clarity Settings will always be off - Auto: Picture Clarity Settings will automatically activate and deactivate based on the type of program being watched - Custom: Allows custom adjustments and settings to be used. By selecting the Custom option, you can access these advanced settings for Judder Reduction, LED Clear Motion, and Noise Reduction.
2) Dynamic Picture Mode will make pictures brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments. Go to: Settings > Picture > Picture Mode > Dynamic
Or manually adjust the Brightness and other settings to your liking. Press the HOME button on your remote, then navigate to: Settings > Picture > Expert Settings
You may also want to disable Power Saving Mode which automatically adjusts the brightness to reduce the TV’s power consumption. Go to Settings> General> Eco Solution> Power Saving Mode.
3) To optimize the smart TV performance, please try Device Care option under the Support Menu. Go to Settings > Support> Device Care > Start Device Care
This service checks memory and frees up unused cached memory and closes background apps. Please also be sure you are running the latest firmware. Does it's job but need improvements

What does the title mean? Comes with two HDMIS so you need to get an HDMI adapter for miltiple ones. HBO max literally does not work (known issues for Samsung apperantly). In otder to get it to work i have to use a firestick or chromecast. So instesd of using the smart tv ui i just use my chromecast. Other than those few issues ive been pretty good. Use my Bluetooth headphones works like s charm
